  1. Take a look at this item on eBay.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/331120055291?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  2. Did you check eBay? There are a few listed but not sure if they have the attaching brackets for the LONG nose 430. Brackets might still be available thru Deere.
  3. Welcome to BMT
  4. Also known as "slobber". It can come from valve guides or past the rings. As for the valve guides, if your valve stems/guides are worn oil will run down the stems at idle. Are you using any oil between changes? BTW, delete your other post.
  5. Welcome to BMT. It sounds like a defective batch of parts. Do you see evidence of excessive temperature?
  6. Tom, Welcome to BMT. Where ya been? Sent you a PM.
  7. You are correct, the initial 15L MaxxForce engine offering used a CAT C15 block. It was a late intro so I do not think many CAT trucks were equipped with the MaxxForce15 engine. The majority have the 13L. IIRC, the MaxxForce15 did not meet certification and was discontinued. I have heard nothing recently that the MaxxForce15 is being offered with SCR. All I see in the trade mags is the Cummins ISX15. Will be interesting to see if a CAT truck, built by IH, uses a Cummins engine. I am going to MATS in March and will see what is on the market.
  8. Not CAT engines. They use International MaxxForce 13L engines. Time will tell if they offer the Cummins ISX15 engine.
  9. Did Barry issue a new guideline and didn't tell the rest of us?
  10. I always took 2 or 3 from the rack (tractors, cars, etc.). Hence my collection (and potential retirement income). From about 1966 to 1990 I would visit the new car dealers annually to get the latest literature (in recent years most of the brochures are online and hard copies are difficult to obtain). As long as I can remember I picked up John Deere literature everytime I visited. I didn't visit Mack or other HD truck dealers so my collection is light in the HD trucks area.
  11. Mike SD - an F in your backyard. Is this one in your "collection"? And a couple nice "points" about this lady!
  12. I think you are correct. The Mack red/white/blue trucks were advertised years before the US Bicentennial (1976).
  13. Yep! And the water tower painted in Bicentennial colors.
  14. BTW, here is the front cover....see anything interesting?
  15. I was rereading the book and noticed the back cover photo and caption. What is wrong with this picture? Mack Hagerstown 35yr Back Cover.pdf
  16. Several CAT trucks running around here in central PA...Smith Transport and some coal buckets.
  17. Airbrushed...the lights on the red SLII look correct.
  18. and a video star too!
  19. If you think that is bad....look at older John Deere tractor brochures. Mrs. Farmer is going to be a rich lady when I pass (if she doesn't burn stuff or $1 yard sale).
  20. Welcome to BMT. Pics of trucks AND tractors.....
  21. post some pics when you get it (blue and red...nice)
  22. Must have been good if it was cancelled. It is the jerkwad shows that get renewed.
  23. quantity discount......$300/5 = $60....still too much.
