  1. MIke, I agree (about the posting) but I do not have a problem with you buying it. You knew about it first so go for it. It will go to a good home. Will not break my heart....just let me drive it at least once. Received specs from Museum... 27 trucks on this GSO, EMZ675 engine, 237hp?, 1076 transmission, 4.00 ratio, 188" wb, originally white cab/hood, 10.00-20 tires, Red Dot a/c between seats, personalized steering wheel "FLEXI-VAN TRUCK RENTAL", and dual 100gal fuel tanks.
  2. I thought I would start a new thread on this item. The CL ad is deleted but the unit is still for sale. The guy who is the contact got pissed at the owner (his wife's uncle). He said he would still send pics (not holding my breath). This is getting interesting and frustrating. Stay tuned.
  3. UPDATE: Seller wants to sell both together. He is sending better pics. I will let you know what happens and start a new thread on the U685T once I get better pics. I am pedaling as fast as I can. UPDATE #2 - Just received another email from the seller. He said several people were interested "but no money" has been sent. Sounds like first one with the money wins. So much for making a list in order of contact. I can't get there until middle of next week and I don't buy from pictures (especially dark ones) unless they are VERY DETAILED. I get the feeling he does not want to bother sending pics and first one with the money wins (Maybe I should change my selling habits. I guess I am too nice of a guy). My money is too tight to "throw it away" on something that has sat for 10+ years. Time will tell. P.S. The number listed in the ad is incorrect.
  4. About 5" of snow here in NW Canton. Waiting to see what happens at the PA farm. Hopefully will stay east. But as Randy said..."measure after it is over".
  5. Fred - sent you a PM. Of course you could try contacting the vvvvv....old Mack Powertrain plant in Hagerstown.
  6. Welcome back! You have a lot of reading to do. At least I hope you still have the most important thing...your health. And the F is a close second!
  7. The U listed on Reading CL is a U685T. I am on it like stink on $hit. Stay tuned. Waiting for details and more (and better) pics.
  8. Email sent. I will give him a call on Monday morning (interested in truck only).
  9. ^^^^^ What they said (I am out of likes)
  10. Looks like lots of rust.
  11. Just a thought, has anyone contacted the Mack museum to request a print of the part? Then take the print to a shop. Talk with Don S and see it there are any issues with making repro parts. Also, contact Barry and get his thoughts.
  12. Why is it one needs to "threaten" to get good service? I run into the same thing with SIRIUSXM. I been a subscriber for about 20 years. And each time my subscript comes up for renewal I have to "threaten" to cancel my service. Usually I talk to the "cancellation department" and it is weird, they can renew at a reduced rate. Go figure!
  13. Now that you have us hooked on your "refresh"....how about some pics? I am having withdrawals without pics.
  14. Chip screwed up a nice looking John Deere 4020.
  15. Happy Birthday
  16. with their feet dangling in the gutter. Then there is Barry the lifeguard. Maybe Yardo will bring some NITs too!
  17. DPF might have face plugging. If so, you will need to "bake" it.
  18. some of my best friends are in the gutter
  19. Made my reservations this morning and (...drum roll...) I am staying at the Best Western - not the Great Dane Hilton. Registered both the MH and trailer for the outdoor show field. I do plan to bring a grill/stove to cook some grub and a portable generator just in case. Thinking about a mattress (or just use furniture pads) for an afternoon nap. Will have my bicycle so I can peddle pedal my a-double-s around. Looking forward to the show and seeing bunches of you all there. We will have a Saturday nooner mug shot for the BMT group.
  20. Here is a listing of Mack filters (thanks to Barry and Watt). mack filter brochure.pdf
  21. That's the way they drive in Michigan.
