  1. Vinny - I did not see any pics of YOU cleaning the truck! Keep us posted on the progress.
  2. I agree but that applies to most places these days. Too much stuff made "overseas".
  3. I prefer Menard's - more "stuff" and slightly better (lower) prices than Home Depot which is lower than Lowes on most things. Good thing the closest Menard's is 20 miles away in a direction I normally do not go.
  4. Nice MH! Straight exhaust pipe?

    Rob:

Welcome back Rob...and to think we missed your words of "wisdom"! Good to know you are okay and protecting our skies.
  6. Good to hear he is still among the "living". Perhaps he walked to Illinois from Reno for fuel and back to Reno. If he only carries 5 gallons at a time, he would have to make several trips....hmmm that would keep a person busy.
  7. handle is CB lingo....username is computer lingo
  8. Seriously folks....It is not like Rob to be "silent" so long. I hope he is okay. Does anyone live close to him or have his phone number? Perhaps a call or visit is in order.
  9. Contacted a local company to get the exhaust parts ceramic coated. The cost will be about $300 for two (2) pipes and muffler. Jet-Hot wanted about the same money but required shipping parts to NC. Not that Jet-Hot is any worse, I prefer to support local businesses. The coating has a lifetime warranty same as Jet-Hot. Turn around time is about one (1) week. I will keep you posted on the results.
  10. Mark, I heard of Jet-Hot. I will contact them. Thanks!
  11. I bought Mack exhaust pipes for my MH. They are aluminized steel. Anyone know what I can use to preserve the pipes to they don't rust on the outside? I thought about VHT silver paint. Would this work on the muffler too? Any suggestions? Can exhaust parts be powder coated? P.S. I was trying to get stainless pipes made but the fabricator "dropped the ball". So I went with original Mack parts.
  12. CAT V engines always sounded GOOOOD! Of course the E9 is GOOOOD too!
  13. She has hair?!?!?!
  14. He lost some weight too!
  15. Great show, great weather, and great company!! I too thank Doug and the ATCA for a great show. Thanks also to Denny (DCR) and Ruth Ann for the coffee and dessert later in the afternoon. I am the old bald headed fart in the light blue shirt (second row, third from left). Enjoyed meeting other BMT members and putting faces to names. I will not make any comments about looks...remember people who live in glass houses should not throw rocks. Safe journeys and hope to see you at a future truck show. Hopefully I will have my MH ready to roll for the next show - Keystone Chapter ATCA Truck Show; Lakemont (Altoona), PA July 28-29.
  16. Maybe he was "offended" at David's throne for Rob.
  17. Vinny was at Macungie today (Saturday). Give him a break. He is mourning because there were no U models at the show.
  18. Doug - if this year's show is anything like last year's it will be a great success! Thanks for all your hard work and thanks to ATCA. Where is the public parking area? I am planning to be there on Saturday but without my MH. Does my Chevy HHR qualify as an "antique truck"? Looking forward to meeting other BMT members.
  19. Also, carry copies of any "exemptions" because the stopping officer may not know about these.
  20. Great idea David! You may want to install a seat belt. After all we would not want Rob to fall off with his pants down.
  21. The room is no longer available. Thanks for the interest. I am going to try and attend on Saturday but without my MH.
  22. Gerhart's Show is the first Saturday in October (October 6, 2012). It is a one day show with a "get together" on Friday night. If you have never been there, you NEED to be there. I have it marked on my calendar and already made hotel reservations. Dave or Doug correct me if I am wrong.
  23. Last year there were tours of both the Macungie plant and the Mack Museum. I went on the Museum tour and it was great. Mack went all out to accomodate the visitors. Doug will know if this is planned again this year.
  24. Will you "cover my expenses" when I get stopped by the State Police?
  25. I may not be able to attend My mother is having back surgery on Tuesday (12th). Depending on how she recovers will determine if I am able to attend. I know I will not have my MH ready since the exhaust fabricator has not completed the pipes. He had two (2) months to make the two (2) pipes and they still aren't completed. I should have just ordered the system from Mack in galvanized metal rather than install stainless. I have paid hotel reservations for Friday and Saturday nights in Fogelsville. If anyone needs a room we can "work out a deal". I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can attend.
