  1. It looks like they are both leaning toward the driver's side.
  2. Vin - Tom was afraid to open the door for fear of the truck rolling over on top of him. Vin - you know we are just kidding about U (well some of us are). It is great to see such enthusiam from a youngin'
  3. Soak it "incider" to reduce the swelling!
  4. Vinny will "wet" his pants when he sees the U trucks.
  5. If it smells like cologne...leave it alone!
  6. Do you think she is 100% authentic? Or are parts "reproduced"?
  7. Wow, I am in love! Mini skirt, boots, and HOSE! The car isn't bad either! Charger was not high on my list (Road Runner, Super Bee, R/T, GTX, Cuda, and Challenger preferred).
  8. Everyone is younger than me. I am older than dirt!
  9. Great video and GREAT SOUND. Nothing like the sound of a 2 stroke. BTW, I saw the young lady in cutoffs and boots....missed the hat!
  10. X2 - she didn't age well (or the money for reconstructive surgery ran out).
  11. Yes, definitely take a test drive ride before you decide. Make sure everything works! But I have to agree with others.....keep the truck!
  12. Damn kids!!!
  13. Too bad the new mid duty Mack uses a Cummins engine!
  14. Welcome Corky....it doesn't get any better than this! My first Mack was a 1962 H67 with duplex.
  15. Vinny - looks nice...but you got the cab too far to one side!
  16. Who was the supplier for these lamps (Grote, Signal Stat, etc.)? May be able to contact the company and get parts. Did you contact Barry to see if the "obsolete parts warehouse" has any stock?
  17. X2. The best part of driving a truck (or other high profile vehicle) is the opportunity to view "seat covers".
  18. There will be a few trucks there on Friday but the BIG day is Saturday. Friday is set-up and the Mack Bros. clambake Friday night. I plan to get there mid-afternoon on Friday.
  19. You are correct about the pre-trip inspection. You do not actually do a pre-trip but you must walk around the truck/trailer and point to each item on the list. You need to tell the examiner what you would check during an actual PT inspection.
  20. Any updates on this? October 27-28 is Saturday and Sunday. I heard the show will be Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday (26, 27, & 28). Can anyone confirm? I would like to make hotel reservations soon. Thanks!!!
  21. I obtained my CDL on my own in 2006. I was able to find a local test facility that rented a tractor/trailer to practice the skills portion (backup, etc.). I studied the pretrip section in the CDL manual and repeated it in my head until I could do it in my sleep. For the written test I again studied the CDL manual. The actual on road driving portion of the test I "winged it" but I failed the first time. I knew what I did wrong and passed the OTR portion the second time (did not have to retake the pretrip and skills portions). I had previously driven HD trucks in fleet lots, on the farm, etc. so I never had any "formal" over the road training. I believe now in order to get a CDL you must obtain it through a "truck driving school". Check with your local license bureau. Good luck!!
  22. Doug, Nice signs! Any MH?
  23. My money says they will be exported (hopefully I am wrong).
  24. UPDATE: I will not be able to attend the Open House today. A storm last night at my house in OH caused some damage and I will be spending most of the morning on the phone with my insurance company, my contractor, etc. Plus the local forecast is calling for severe thunderstorms with high winds and possible hail. Sometimes "life" gets in the way of a "good time". I hope whomever attends will take some pictures and post on BMT. As they say....WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!
