  1. Cars, trucks, tractors, and females (not necessarily in that order). Is there anything else?
  2. Thanks Doug for posting the vid from Macungie. Seems like you are always around when videographers and attractive ladies show-up. You are a babe magnet! Don is getting a lot of face time too! Keep up the good work guys!
  3. My all time favorite year and make is 1970 MOPAR - Plymouth and Dodge (Cuda, Cuda AAR, GTX, Road Runner, Superbird, Challenger RT, Challenger TA, R/T, and Super Bee). Favorite engnes - 440+6, HEMI, 340+6. Of course transmission would be 4-speed with pistol grip Hurst shifter. I HAVE owned a 1970 RR 383, 1970 Superbird 440+6, 1970 Cuda 383 Convertible, 1973 Duster 340, 1973 Cuda 340, 1974 Road Runner GTX 440-4, and several others. I never owned a 426 HEMI car. Wish I still had the 1970 cars. Of course the ladies during that time were choice too - mini skirts, hot pants, hose, and boots (and NO tattoos or body piercings). I don't think the braless look was until a few years later.
  4. UPDATE: My friend's reply: Matlack DID NOT have U-models. There was a leased operator (Meyers) that had the U-models, painted the same color so it would be hard to tell them from the company trucks. They were mostly 711 engines, one with a Cat engine. Matlack did have a lot of R & F models with the V8 Mack engine. I rebuilt a lot of them when I was in the Machine shop. I also rebuilt the fuel pumps for the V8 engine. They didn't last over 300,000 miles. Hope this helps.
  5. And we all thought Doug had the answers. Dr. RandyP is in and open for questions!
  6. Vinny - looks good! At this rate, you may have it ready for Gerhart's.
  7. A good friend of mine used to work in the shop at Matlack. I sent him an email asking for information (and pics if possible).
  8. Mark, I heard the doors from a KW would fit on the G. Mark - I heard someone say the doors from the KW would fit the G.
  9. And don't forget MH! shezaus - welcome to BMT.
  10. Excuse me...how about some more MHs?
  11. I will be there, with or without a leaking fuel tank. BMT group photo at high noon on Saturday??
  12. Dave - the draw and return lines and level sender are in the left (leaking) tank. I was looking this morning and perhaps I could replumb everything to the right tank. I hate to change everything but may be easier than removing/repairing the left tank. Or at least buy me time to get the left tank repaired.
  13. Not sure where to post this message... My left (main) fuel tank (84 gallon aluminum) is starting to leak on the bottom under the front support strap. My guess it has "corroded" from years of winter road salt. Questions: 1. Should I remove the tank and have it welded (if possible)? 2. Or try to locate a like tank (2MB4977AM2 and date code)? I can't switch the RH tank because the original owner installed a fuel heater (cut the top of the tank). And the cover will interfere with the supports. Any suggestions are appreciated.
  14. No turbo or manifold. The only way would be if they need replaced down the road.
  15. All that work on the exterior and the interior is rough. Showing my ignorance...What is under the cab (box) near the exhaust pipe?
  16. BROCHURE, B R O C H U R E, BROCHURE! Vinny, Vinny, Vinny!
  17. Another one!?
  18. The MH is now at the farm in Roaring Spring. I plan to be there! Do we need to pre-register?
  19. X2 and also check Craigslist. I use www.allcraigslist.com but there are other search sites. Good luck!!
  20. Thanks Randy. Another pic of the pipes.
  21. Is anyone going to the show in Altoona on July 28th? I plan to be there with my MH.
  22. The exhaust system is completed. The only thing I am not happy with is the round hole muffler shield. When I called the parts store, the counter guy said they had a slotted shield in stock. When I got to the store, they only handle the round hole shield.
  23. I am planning to be at Watts' show in August with my MH. I have the exhaust almost completed and hope to be in Altoona on Saturday July 28th.
  24. Rob - you plan on driving it to Gerhart's in October?
  25. hint - left side
