  1. Just received this from the Mack Museum: The new owner of the MH613 Interplant Truck (listed on eBay) lives in Canada. He is aware of the activity on Big Mack Trucks. The Museum has a verbal agreement that we will pick up the truck in Edison, NJ and bring it to the Museum “for a year or so.” He will send me an e-mail with details. We may go for it one of the next Wednesdays. For now, we would only do clean up work to make it showable.
  2. Dave, Any update on the condition of the show grounds and weather?
  3. Fred, Something does not sound right. If the drain valve opens via the unloader it will "spill" water and fuel. I would suggest changing it to a Mack spin on primary filter. Does it have a spin-on secondary filter. My primary is located on the left side of the engine and the secondary is located on the right front frame rail (just inside the right front tire). Yes Don and his crew at the Museum are great!
  4. Hey Denny! The post looks good. I hope there is a good turnout. I am planning to attend (if I survive Gerhart's). Let me know if you need any help. BTW I sent personal invites to Freightrain and Greg Rider. Thanks! Ken
  5. Fred, I am just guessing but could it be the fuel injection pump return line? Or does the FI pump return to the tank?
  6. Saw this on CL: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/pts/2598819329.html
  7. Reviews of the 2011 engines with SCR are better than the pre-SCR engines.
  8. I sent four (4) emails to the owner (2-eBay, 1-BMT, and 1-email address). So far NOTHING!

  10. Barry, How about getting some trucks/photos at Gerhart's? Or will that be too late? Maybe Dave can help set-up some locations.
  11. The "seat of the pants" ride is not too bad considering the air ride seat and cab suspension. But the back axle jumps around when going over rough pavement. Plus you either hang on tight to the shift lever or keep your hand away as it can be spastic. If you have something in the cup holder it bounces out. I talked to a guy at Macungie with an air ride single axle MH and he said it is smooth. When I go to Gerhart's I am going to run the rear tire pressure on the low side (85-90 psi) and see if it makes a difference.
  12. considering they are artificial, they will probably look the same in 15 years. if they do sag, just add a few pounds of air pressure and they will perk up.
  13. I located a Hendrickson air ride suspenion that is on a 2003 Sterling. Does anyone know if my Mack rear axle will bolt-up to this suspension? What if any parts do I need to make it fit the axle? What questions should I be asking the seller about the suspension? TIA
  14. Why do we put up with this crap!!
  15. Nice pics of the MH (and Hahn). Are you bringing the MH to Gerhart's?
  16. Try this link for the F operator's manual (revised 9/79), This is a downloadable PDF. http://smrp-prod.mac...dform/ts446.pdf See page 14 for Cab Tilt Operation
  17. If I remember correctly, my H had a release lever inside the RH storage compartment under the sleeper. Perhaps the F used the same mechanism.
  18. Rob, Actually I am a few miles closer than Larry but starting Saturday (17th) I will be out of town on business until the 28th.
  19. Thanks everyone for your interest. You can always send your money to me! I am willing to head up this endeavor. I sent another note to the seller to contact me. Until the seller makes contact and he states the selling price there is not much we can do at this time. In the mean time I will talk to the Mack Museum and get their input. Does anyone know the seller?
