  1. Nice find and save. Great pics. Glad you made it in and out of PA without any issues.
  2. Your reply dated 14 September" "Umodelnut you didn't ask me anything and that's why I never replied." I went back to your first post on 07 September and here are some questions that were never answered... farmer52 - Posted 07 September 2012 - 08:09 PM Any MH parts? Umodelnut - Posted 08 September 2012 - 11:26 AM Yes pictures would be nice. Do you have any U models? I know a couple years ago you had like three U models on TruckPaper. I am not trying to create hard feelings but if you are going to post something as important as "parts for sale" you should check-in more often.
  3. Happy Birthday....eat a "piece" for me.
  4. I just purchased a Salesman's Price Book dated January 1985 from fleaBay. It is over one inch thick. I copied the "standard specifcation" base prices for all the models. The trucks were more expensive than I remember. Enjoy! 1985 Mack truck prices.PDF
  5. A good friend of mine knows the owner of Grand Rock. I started conversations with GR in January 2012. I was told to send the Mack prints and they could make the pipes. After review of the prints I was told to drop off the pipes because the "long pipe" (the one that goes under the cab to the muffler) print did not have enough information to bend the pipe. I dropped the assembly (turbo to muffler) off at GR the end of March. I told GR I needed the pipes by mid-May so I could get ready for Macungie). No problem is what I was told. FINALLY at the end of May I was contacted (after many calls to GR) the 2 pipes were complete. However they could not make the long pipe in one piece. They made the pipe in three (3) sections. I was told to bolt the pipe on the truck and mark the sections. Then send the pipes back to GR and they would weld the sections. Needless to say after 2+ months of dicking around with GR I cancelled the order. Oh by the way they trashed my old pipes soon after I dropped them off so they could not fit the long pipe themselves. So I ordered replacement pipes from Mack and had them and a new muffler (Donaldson $80) ceramic coated. It ended up costing me more than GR but the time to get parts from Mack, coating, and installation was less than 3 weeks. I told my friend (who passed on the word to GR) I was UNHAPPY with GR and would not refer or contact them in the future. Their response was "we dropped the ball". Like I posted earlier...I am glad you all had good response from GR. Perhaps it was a "mistake" having a "connection at the factory".
  6. Glad you had good luck with Grand Rock. I provided Mack blueprints and the old pipe from my MH. After 2+ months I never had any hardware.
  7. Nice video and thanks for posting!!!! It seemed longer than 13 minutes to get on the track. How can I download a copy? Thanks again Ron!
  8. Just a young pup....Happy Birthday and enjoy!
  9. I thought you would NEVER ask!
  10. I tend to agree with your thinking. I voted absentee since I was out of state. Here in OH you need to provide your SS number or driver's license number to "validate" the ballot. In PA you need to do the same but you must give a reason why you cannot vote in person. I wonder if I could have walked into the voting place and voted again? How do they know I voted absentee?
  11. This is probably politically incorrect but... If you don't pay taxes = you don't get to vote If you are in prison = you don't get to vote If you are on welfare = you don't get to vote If you don't show a valid photo ID = you don't get to vote If you are not a US citizen = you don't get to vote
  12. Looks good Vinny. Get the hood on right, lights, bumper, some good tires, change the left mirror bracket, and you will be ready for Macungie 2013. Oh and don't forget to tilt the 5th wheel back.
  13. He took it to a taxidermist. Next year he will be making the "show tour" with it and his B.
  14. How cruel of you to not stop. There is snow on the ground and she has very little clothes on. You should be ashamed!
  15. Some older Macks I see have an EMERGENCY shutdown knob in addition to the ENGINE SHUTDOWN. What does it do?
  16. How many beers did you have before?
  17. If he was "finishing" he would be smoking a cigarette!
  18. Already removed 2nd bolt. Put some PB Blaster on the threads and left it soak for a day. Put vise grips on the threads and it came out without a problem. Chrome dog is retired.
  19. I would go to Elko anytime. Did some field testing with a gold mine fleet near Elko. It was difficult to get test supplies sent to and out of Elko. In the middle of "no where".
  20. I uploaded the pics to Photobucket. This is my first time using PB. Note - LH door window frame sprung at top, RH door and hood would not open, truck sitting since mid/late 1970s, engine not running when parked. Lots and lots of rust. Owner had a person interested in some parts. http://s1305.beta.ph...870292570702275 JT - did not want to post any pics until you made your decision.
  21. it has to be hard before dipping into something wet....just sayin'
  22. Only 34! Just a young pup. Hope you have many more. My advise is "take the cake and RUN far away as fast as you can"
  23. Nice pics and thanks for posting! Did not see any "big" iron.
  24. x2! Something tells me he will not make it four (4) years.
