  1. I heard both Superliners were repowered with Diesel engines. As to the whereabouts I do not know.
  2. Nice work Vinny! Only 7th grade?????
  3. Does the DOT want me to sleep while I am driving? Shoot when I go to shows I have my belongings and a bunch other crap stuff in the sleeper. No room to sleep. I have a couple front grille pieces (Gerhart's 2011) and a defroster cover (Gerhart's 2012) in there now. Yea my MH...I saw this girl hitchhiking and I decided to stop and pick her up....not like someone else on this forum.
  4. I agree with Rowdy about the experience. Otherwise nice website! And yea, a few old Mack pics would be nice. Shoot, mention BMT (that is if Commander in Chief Barry is okay with it).
  5. The only group I recognize is Def Leppard and the only song of theirs I like is Hysteria (electric guitars and drums). I was in college in the early 70's and listened to CSN&Y, Bread, Moody Blues, Carpenter's (always had the hots for Karen ), Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, and Carly "nipples" Simon...to name a few. Back then music was music with great rythmn, instruments, and voices... not thump thump thump rap BS of today. Most "artists" today can't hold a tune in a bucket. Of course back then country was Country not this BS "showy" country now. Just sayin' And BTW, if I don't listen to late 60's or early 70's rock I listen to New Age on SIRIUS SPA. I guess this old fart is burnt out!
  6. And metro parks prohibit shooting wildlife. It is really bad around the east and southeast side of Cleveland. Deer are always getting killed along the major highways. I saw one a few years ago get hit by a small car. Plastic flying everywhere. The deer slid across 3 lanes of I-271. Luckily I saw it and slowed down, otherwise I would have run over the deer. For you animal lovers...the deer was killed instantly so it did not suffer.
  7. Nice pictures!!! Have a safe trip....don't pickup any hitchhikers (specially females).
  8. Those were the days...trucks and women! Thanks for posting!
  9. How about these...there is a MH hiding somewhere in the background, just in case anyone is interested!
  10. Is that a U model with Vinny at the wheel? If so, he will probably run off the side of the road and wreck!
  11. probably does not have a coolant filter so even more important to check the nitrates. Being a dry sleeved engine it is not as important as wet sleeves but important just the same. Penray has good products (www.penray.com) and are very helpful.
  12. Make sure the anti-freeze/coolant is formulated for HD Diesel engines. You need to not only be concerned about freeze protection but also hardware protection. You can buy test strips to check coolant "additives" (glycol and nitrates).
  13. CAT would get my vote, especially a 3408 DITA.
  14. Are you asking about removing the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) or disconnecting the "7th injector"? Disconnecting the "7th injector" and not removing the DPF will result in a plugged DPF. Either one will require an ECM reprogram and likely some sensor changes.
  15. I think I heard that one before. I would definitely stop and pick her up with my MH!
  16. Loverly! specially the MH shot.
  17. Mark - thanks for the advise. Did you get the bushings from Mack? Other areas of linkage wear? My MH has about 800K miles (EM7-300 and T2050).
  18. I have seen several CAT trucks in central PA. A fleet of CAT yellow dump trucks run Route 22. I see them around Ebensburg. My guess is they are coal buckets. They are always going the opposite direction and the name on the door is too small to read. Smith Transport (my home town of Roaring Spring) has about 10 day cab semis. They were originally painted CAT yellow but repainted in Smith's black. Smith is mostly Fruitliner (DD engines) with some Petes (Cummins engines).
  19. Occasionally I try to shift my MH without a clutch. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. To me the linkage is the issue. Anyone have thoughts/suggestions?
  20. There you go Vinny....U2! Go for it!
  21. Vlad - you are correct. The only way you know if it was good or bad is at the end of the day. Either way you try again tomorrow.
  22. Contact the Mack museum and they may provide prints so you can have them fabricated. As always, a donation to the Museum would be appreciated. Good luck! Another option is to contact Barry at Watts Truck Center. BTW, welcome to BMT!
  23. I thought you may have missed posting a pic. Thanks! But you really should have stopped and offered assistance. She was in a very dangerous situation. You are starting to give truck drivers a bad image!
  24. Nice pics and thanks for documenting your travels! Disappointed there were no hitchhiker or seat cover shots.
