  1. Nice pics and thanks for posting. There are some nice Mack trucks in PR but too much glitz and chrome for me. Those single axle R models look good.
  2. Yea that is a decent looking U model but too much for my pocketbook. I guess I am getting to be a cheap cheaper old fart. I paid less for my MH and think it is in better condition, in my opinion. It seems the R and U models still hold their value. I would like to have a single axle R or maybe a U (with kickstand). Perhaps I should sell some of my tractors....NOT! Cecil is SW of Tittsburgh.
  3. I would not leave the block heater plugged in continuously. Recommend a battery maintainer on the batteries (whether in the truck or removed). It is not a bad idea to put a good multifunctional Diesel fuel additive (I use Stanadyne Performance Formula) in the fuel and also not a bad idea to fill the fuel tanks (keeps condensation to a minimum). If you want to cover, use a cover that breathes rather than a plastic tarp. You may want to tilt the bed so any water runs out the back rather than collecting in the bed. Just my thoughts.
  4. Fred, you MH is looking good!
  5. The cat er dog is out of the bag now! BMT group scavenger hunt!!!

  9. Where in Iowa are you located? I would consider attending and may or may not bring my MH. I like the idea - see some different Macks, meet some new people, and see some nice scenery.
  10. Them thar be fighten words OD! Oh and BTW, it is ENLARGE with an "E"!
  11. Did you get the cereal number of the Super Dog? You were likely depressed that it was not a U model. Therefore U got sick. Get better!

Leversole - I agree...Thanksgiving is the forgotten holiday!! Christmas season (and that includes retail) should not begin until the Monday after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving season should start after Halloween. Anyway, enjoy!!!!

  23. Good lookng H67! Welcome to the "jungle". I have a collection of John Deere, Cockshutt, and Allis-Chalmers.
  24. January 1, 2007 was when all trucks manufactured after that date must be equipped with a DPF. With that said, engine manufacturers were able to sell non-DPF engines in 2007 if they were "built" in 2006. The definition of "built" means the crank in the block and a serial number for the engine. There were a lot of "2006" engines in 2007 MY trucks. Now that I think about it, when Mack and many other OEs went to DPF the trucks were labeled as 2008 models. Sounds confusing but that is our government and EPA at work. So your truck is a 2007 with a 2006 engine in it. Perhaps the ECU programming would be the same as 2005. However the engine OEs are always "tweeking" the programming.
