  1. Thanks! It looks like a Cummins. I do not know what year is the truck. If it was a Detroit engine it would be a V engine (6V or 8V). Did International offer the Series 60 in a Transtar?
  2. I can't view the link
  3. Nice B! They must have kept it a secret because I never heard nor saw it (and I live between Larry and Massillon). I don't remember seeing it at any local car/truck shows.
  4. My IL friend is close to Glasford and I owe him a visit. If I can't find anyone at a reasonable price, I will get it myself. Maybe I could put a hitch on my car and tow it back to PA. It might fit in the trunk of my 98 Grand Prix (once it is in pieces). Or if SD has a Mack show in IA I could strap it on the back of my MH.
  5. Dang, another Ohioan. Where from? Truck looks nice. Is the engine a 4V?
  6. Not sure about NES&L's money situation. I hear rumors but no facts. My brother-out-law works in the HQ office and he is tight lipped about business. Their bone yard is behind the Roaring Spring quarry. My farm is 1 mile from it and their overburden pile (Mount NESL) is at the back border of the farm. Sometimes when they blast it shakes the house and out buildings. I keep hoping I will win the NES&L lottery (buy the farm). One of these days when I get motivated (before the snow flies) I will venture there and take some pics. I imagine there are some Macks there. I remember when all the cement mixers were B models.
  7. Vision and FWD would likely whip our butts in "motorboating"!
  8. Hi Larry, Yes I know Rob lives close but he is "out of touch". Also, my friend lives just north of Peoria (about 1/2 hour NE of Glasford) and, when he gets time, is going to stop by and get it to this place. At least it would be in "friendly" confines. I was hoping to pay less than $100. If I pay more, then the bargain becomes a "loss".
  9. Still looking for someone who might be in the area. I posted this on a few other forums. I received one reply - $450 (special trip from IL to PA). Needless to say I turned him down. Shoot, if I don't have it by spring I will get it myself. Planning a trip to IL, ID, UT, and OK to see friends. Just was not planning to take the pickup (15mpg).
  10. Sorry she could not make the show. Home visit nurse? One just got shot in the head in Clearfield County just the other day. The nurse and an "old" lady got into an argument about medication. No one is safe anymore! http://beta.local.ya...ityname=Altoona
  11. Maybe Rowdy could use one to counterbalance his new front bumper!
  12. And during the daytime hours on Friday. No school = Pearl Harbor Day or just skipping?
  13. I'm with you Tom! Allentown is about as close as I want to get to NYC.
  14. I will be the first to ask.....pictures?!
  15. Oil usually causes blue smoke. Unburned fuel (or cold operation) will result in white smoke. Black smoke is caused by too much fuel or not enough air that is partially unburned (soot).
  16. Black = too much fuel. And if the turbo is bad...that will make it worse (not getting enough air).
  17. If I would have driven like the "female" in the video, I would not have passed my CDL test. Did you notice she had her left foot on the brake when she was stopped? I wonder if she braked with her left foot? Also on some of the turns she never looked in the mirror to see if the trailer cleared traffic. As Larry stated....sex sells anything! She could have worn a flannel shirt and work shoes/boots and made it more "professional". But when her T.ts are hanging out and knee high 5" heel boots...give me a F'n break. After awhile the only way I could watch was to turn off the sound. Definitely entertaining. End of rant!
  18. Turbo should not be the reason for excess fuel. Is the smoke white, blue, or black? I still would recommend pulling the injector and looking at the tip. If the tip looks okay, swap it with another cylinder and see what happens.
  19. He has not posted pics either. Like someone said...if you can't see it or touch it, it isn't real!
  20. Thanks Jim! I have a 5.02 ratio in my MH. The EM7-300 is rated at 1750 rpm. I can't let it go much below 1200 before catching the next gear. Maybe I need more practice.
  21. Mike - enjoy your weekend. Take your camera and take pics of any Macks or other "interesting things".
  22. If she is a nurse, maybe she knows mouth to...never mind.
  23. I believe you are the third person to ask "where in OH"? P.S. I wish one of the requirements for registration is to list where you are from. No location = no registration (i.e. no posting).
