  1. I've seen pictures of a Mack B model show truck on Google it's purple and Silver. It's fitted with a nice Big walk in sleeper I believe. I agree B models look excellent with a bunk.
  2. Awesome work on the model!!! I see alot of those when the wife and I go back home to see her family in Ikes fork West Virginia. Those DM800's can actually move down the road. Last year up in Michigan I saw one that had a bunk on the back and a 500 hp E9 stuffed under the hood. I wish I had gotten pictures of it cause it was sweet looking for sure. Love that model.
  3. That'd be a nice truck to have. I'd take the dump bed off though and do a Sleeper conversion and turn it into an over the road truck.
  4. If I had the money that would be an awesome project to restore
  5. I went to A well known College here in Lima,Ohio that is the top Diesel Mechanic schools in the U.S. now mind you this was about 14yrs ago. I ended up only going to school for one session reason being I was watching students in the Ag Diesel program working on Combines and tractors here I was in my Class of Transportation Refrigeration Heating and Air Conditioning diagnosing AC issues on a Toyota Solace. Yeah I didn't understand that concept 😕. So I ended up just focusing on my trucking Career after the session was over. My teacher told me that he hoped I wasn't making a mistake on giving up on College. I can tell you I don't regret the experience I've gained out here on the road by working on and servicing the trucks I've driven over the years and helping the mechanics fix other trucks and asking questions etc. I've learned just as much they would've taught me in College and maybe alil more by just helping and gittin my hands dirty to save the company money on a service call.
  6. Bout the only I'd do with that monster these days is take it to truck shows or hook it to a pulling sled
  7. My wife has a 2018 Ford Edge Titanium. It started losing coolant over a period of time. Took it to a shop and they told her there were no leaks or anything wrong. ( of course I happened to be out on the road and wasn't there).Yeah it finally died on her here acouple weeks ago and when she tried putting more coolant in it like she always did she could hear it running out. Yeah it's been at a Ford dealership now almost four weeks waiting on it's new engine and or parts. Typical young gun mechanics treating a woman like she didn't know anything gotta love it.
  8. Oh yeah I love the look of my Truck here which is the CHU613 Pinnacle it has the old school Mack look in my opinion
  9. I talked to my boss about it. He's been in the trucking industry for over 55 years or more and has ran these very trucks. The easiest way to convert it to air would be do a cutoff conversion that way you could extend the wheel base alil as well.
  10. I believe that truck came from a dump truck company here in Ohio. I ain't for sure
  11. Ah just the tips are bigger they reduce down alil behind the heat shields. Don't sound bad specially when she gets into the pulling side of the motor. Even with all the DEF emissions on it.
  12. Took the Green Hornet out to some parades this year. Memorial day and a local county fair parade. Didn't git photos at the fair parade but my Dispatcher got us on Memorial day. Then yesterday I hand polished her from front to back
  13. I would check your wiring in the door Sometimes on the CXUs the wiring can get very tiny breaks that are hard to see.
  14. I appreciate the updates on those Superliners. I will have to tell my boss
  15. In theory I believe there is a group with a socialist agenda behind our so called Government and Joe Biden is just a puppet or Talking head to distract from said agenda.
  16. There's 3 kinds of Rouge green, brown, and white also 3 buffing wheels green, yellow, and white. That's what I use. Also if the stainless is heavy with rust I use WD40 and steel wool and it turns out pretty good.
  17. Nothing yet. I'm gonna try and have my Momma go to the BMV and title department maybe tomorrow.
  18. I can't actually remember him saying what motor was in it. but I do know he had to replace the crank shaft in it once. He had a local fab shop build a engine stand for it and the local junk yard owner Army came over with one of his engine pickers and helped take it out. My Grandpa also said that Ol' Green Hornet pulled like a Freight train and blew black smoke all the way.
  19. Oh I assure you he loved all 3 of his trucks. He's where I got my love for old trucks from.
  20. Hopefully will know something about the truck next week. My Momma us going to the BMV and the Title Department to see if they can find the original registration or perhaps the Title.
