  1. March 3rd I celebrated 17yrs of driving out here on the road. I wasn't even graduated from High school and I had my first driving job driving a CDL needed box truck delivering building materials. From there I went to driving garbage trucks for about 3yrs. Then decided I wanted to go to college for Diesel mechanics at one of the top Diesel Schools in the US which is The University of Northwestern Ohio. Or UNOH for short lol. After one session I wanted to drive more than work on them so I dropped out. And went into Foodservice delivery and that got me the chance to drive my first Tractor trailer a 1997 Mack CH613 Sleeper tractor pulling a pup trailer hauling frozen pizza and meat. It was a gold bulldog truck. Then I went into logging and that's where my over the road journey began and as they say The rest is history. Wouldn't trade one single day of it except maybe a couple truck accidents along the way. Everytime I go out for the Company I drive for now I add another state driven in to my resume. Still love it like it's my first run.
  2. "Because it Rhymes with Luck. Daddy always told me to be like a Duck. Smooth on the surface and kickin' like the devil underneath"

  3. Love that Super Dog!!! My Pinnacle has that kinda squared off look to it. That's what I like about it is it still looks like a truck. Would love to dress a Super dawg up just like my Green Hornet or a Rs700L maybe.
  4. Freightliner used to have a truck that held the World Record on Pikes peak.
  5. I'm one of those drivers that doesn't just give my opinion on observation and seeing an end result of someone else's misfortune. I've been there with a lowboy and thankfully in my instance there was no train insight. But the thought was still in the back of my mind but myself and my fellow logging crew members just worked quickly to git off the tracks. So after that I avoided rail crossings at all costs when pulling the lowboy. Didn't matter to me if the crossing looked OK I would find another way to go.
  6. Personally I wouldn't have crossed there with a lowboy. Just my observation.
  7. Wow ol'boy passed out behind the wheel. Thank God he or anyone else was killed.
  8. I've got a bottle of Pure Grain Alcohol at the house in my cabinet of collectibles. Never been opened and it's 190 proof. Clearer than water.
  9. I'm alil late but welcome to The Convoy and I agree that is a very nice lookin' Show dog!!
  10. Sure looks like an RS700L to me unless they used the same hoods on a regular R model back then. Top is the truck for sale 2nd is a Rs700L. They look the same to me just different tanks.
  11. I would say that is a RS786LST By the looks of the hood and front fenders.
  12. My Dream Machine is a 40 Ford Coupe
  13. I'd love to have one sitting in my driveway
  14. A buddy of mine said he had a truck that was passing him in the left lane when a Monfort started coming up on him. He said all he heard on the CB was "Move driver!!!!". The Monfort truck then proceeded to pass the truck in the left hand emergency lane. 😳 My buddy said the other truck had the nerve to blow his horn at the Monfort truck lol. The Monfort driver got on the radio again and said " I guess next time you hear a someone tell you to move and it's a Monfort truck then maybe you'll move".
  15. Kinda reminds me if the truck from Moonfire.
  16. Sorry for your loss there Mate will be praying 🙏 for you and your family

  23. I'd give just about anything to be driving an Old truck. I mean I love The Green Hornet I drive now but I'd give anything to have The original That my Grandpa had or one of his B models. I also keep trying to convince my Boss that I need a Cabover in my life lol.
  24. Yeah me too!! I'd like a Crack at driving it 😆 🤣
