  1. I talked to my boss about it. He's been in the trucking industry for over 55 years or more and has ran these very trucks. The easiest way to convert it to air would be do a cutoff conversion that way you could extend the wheel base alil as well.
  2. I believe that truck came from a dump truck company here in Ohio. I ain't for sure
  3. Ah just the tips are bigger they reduce down alil behind the heat shields. Don't sound bad specially when she gets into the pulling side of the motor. Even with all the DEF emissions on it.
  4. Took the Green Hornet out to some parades this year. Memorial day and a local county fair parade. Didn't git photos at the fair parade but my Dispatcher got us on Memorial day. Then yesterday I hand polished her from front to back
  5. I would check your wiring in the door Sometimes on the CXUs the wiring can get very tiny breaks that are hard to see.
  6. I appreciate the updates on those Superliners. I will have to tell my boss
  7. In theory I believe there is a group with a socialist agenda behind our so called Government and Joe Biden is just a puppet or Talking head to distract from said agenda.
  8. There's 3 kinds of Rouge green, brown, and white also 3 buffing wheels green, yellow, and white. That's what I use. Also if the stainless is heavy with rust I use WD40 and steel wool and it turns out pretty good.
  9. Nothing yet. I'm gonna try and have my Momma go to the BMV and title department maybe tomorrow.
  10. I can't actually remember him saying what motor was in it. but I do know he had to replace the crank shaft in it once. He had a local fab shop build a engine stand for it and the local junk yard owner Army came over with one of his engine pickers and helped take it out. My Grandpa also said that Ol' Green Hornet pulled like a Freight train and blew black smoke all the way.
  11. Oh I assure you he loved all 3 of his trucks. He's where I got my love for old trucks from.
  12. Hopefully will know something about the truck next week. My Momma us going to the BMV and the Title Department to see if they can find the original registration or perhaps the Title.
  13. I'm going to try and research the plate number and see what I come up with.
  14. If Google is Correct on the pictures I've found of other Brockways. The truck looks to be a 1964 Brockway 257.
  15. I unfortunately don't have any Paperwork on the truck and my Grandpa passed away about 6yrs ago. I wish I would've found this forum when he was Still alive 😢 😔. I believe this truck had a Detroit in it and Had a Joe dog tandem set up on the rear.
  16. Sorry to hear this. Didn't know him but still sad when a loss of life occurs.
  17. I wish I knew what year the truck was. I would love to find another and make a replica. I've already named my 2015 Mack chu613 "The Green Hornet" in Memory of my Grandparents and I'm having a custom name plate made to hang on the bottom of the grille but to find an exact model truck would mean the world to me.
  18. Yeah this truck had the Button tuck interior and Chromeated radio that hung from the ceiling. It was sweet
  19. Unfortunately because of Some Fly by night drivers my Grandparents ended up having to sell the trucks off around the late 70's. The Brockway was the last truck sold and it was used by a guy in Buckland,Ohio as a dump truck until the frame rusted in two and the truck had to be scrapped.
