I don't have it put for her I'm just giving my opinion 🤷. And also if that were my mother I would be embarrassed just sayin'.. I understand age happens to all of us but some people should appropriately dress their age not what age they think they are.

Aussie Truckin' Pics..
The Rubber Duck 006 replied to Hayseed's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
It's on my bucket list to drive one of these someday -
I think that one on the left looks like a dragster spotter girl at our local drag strip. Whole lot better than that leopard thing earlier.

Nope it was a Granite Roll off truck. I've got a 1:32 Scale first gear Die-cast Replica of the same kinda truck. I remember that first winter they had it. My supervisor stole the plug in cord off my L8000 garbage truck because it was more important that the Granite be plugged in than my hunk of junk. They tried for over an hour to git that sucker started hahahaha while my L8000 started right up after a few revolutions of the engine 😅 🤣 😂. They had to drag the new Granite into the shop, plugged it back in, and put a Salamander heater under it hahahaha later on it finally started. Yeah I wasn't really impressed with it especially after riding in it and even after putting meatier tires on it and locking the diff in it still couldn't git off the landfill face under it's own power while dumping a roll off box.

If that's a Granite I didn't particularly care for the ride of those things. I rode in a brand spankin' new one back in 07. I believe they had just introduced them. Ours was a roll-off truck and it rode like a log wagon and that first winter it didn't want to start even after being plugged in all-night.

If she were dressed like that with those heels she'd be labeled a lot Lizard. And in no way shape or form is that car or truck show acceptable clothing. She'd probably be one of those that turns into a Karen if caught staring at her.

I ain't saying there's nothing wrong with older women I'm just saying she needs to dress better.

Yeah unfortunately I wasn't hatched until September of 1987. Graduated Highschool in 2006 and began my driving career at 18 about 3weeks before I graduated. I actually missed commencement exercises at my homeschool because I was training for my first Driving job and had school to work privileges from the vocational school I was attending.

To each his own but I said what I said and I'll stand by it just sayin' . I've been to many car shows and I've seen her type and alot of times it ain't very positive the same with the guy with her type. Just my experience

Yeah I believe his Peterbilt has power steering. It was just funny to see a younger guy saying that kinda stuff. I mean I'm only 35yrs old but I grew up hearing those old truck stories and as I was watching his video it made my blood boil like how dare you say that most of the old truckers lied about having to reach through to shift both sticks. When he was showing his demonstration on a Peterbilt 359.

Yeah that lady wearing leopard was past her prime aaaaaaaaaaalonnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggg time ago..The guy with her is prolly like "Look at this arm candy boys!!!!" And every guy there is thinkin' "Go antique shopping lately cause that arm candy sure looks like one" hahahaha 😆 😂 😜 😉

I'm not sure. My Grandpa didn't take any interior pictures of it. He said it was fun going from his two stick to the 3 Stick hahahaha. "Bud I had a hard enough time remembering what gear I was in or which stick I just shifted with just two sticks" 'Then I got that B67 with a "Tri-plex which had 3 sticks and I was really blown away hahahaha" is what he always told me. He called the two-stick a Du-plex and the 3 stick a Tri-plex. He said he enjoyed driving both. I'd give anything to be able to go back and drive them old Dogs with him.

There's a guy on Youtube I think his channel is Bubbles8v92 he did a video showing how to shift the 6 and 4 Transmission in his Pete. He blatantly said that " The whole reaching through the wheel to shift was a total Farse". It was funny because the comments came flooding in with guys Saying " Well you can tell this Young pup ain't never drove a Mack".

Those Two Lil cars are actually 1960's Mini Coopers

I'd love to have that Camaro or that Willys Coupe sitting in my Garage.....
-
I will have to find the pictures of the whole truck it was actually Duck yellow. Would love to have one just like it I'd drive the wheels off of it or his B67 that was red and had three sticks. I would give anything to go back then and be a truck driver. My Grandpa always told me I was born and a driver in the wrong Era especially since I love the old iron and old school ways of back then.

I know the 86 GMC General I drove had two switch air actuated wipers. And none of you guys are OFF Topic in my thread here. That's why I started it to here the old stories just like my Grandpa used to tell me growing up. My Grandpa was the guy that took pictures of everything and anything. That's why we have pictures of his old trucks. Some of them are even still in Black and white.

Not sure what an MB steering wheel is there Bob -
I polished my tanks and wheels after I had them brighten everything which brings the oxidation to surface and everything looks dull. Now the only thing that gits brightened is the occasional van trailer or flatbed I'm pulling at the time and the body of my Truck. Bottom picture is when I first got the truck the driver that had it before me hadn't washed it in months. Top picture is after it's first bath and brightener on all chrome. Picture below that is after i hand polished and got rid of all the oxidation.
-
Yeah it's "brightner" also known as Acid Brightner useful for bringing up the oxidation hiding beneath the surface of your chrome rims, battery boxes, fuel tanks etc....It won't harm the paint on the truck at all. Like I said I have Blue Beacon do it all the time because it's free and it helps my truck look cleaner longer.
