I can tell you one thing about the M drive transmission. Mack doesn't sell or manufacture a rebuild kit for it (Was told by our local Mack Dealer) don't know if they do now. But Dealer said they are built to be Bullet proof and if something happens that it fails The owner was doing something wrong with the truck. That's how good they are. -

You're welcome. It can be rough housed just have to push the right dash buttons like taking the hill assist and traction control out of the equation. Also should have a mud snow button which would help as well. Also the plus minus buttons come in handy for controlling performance of the M drive as well. No upgrades required -

That's Mack’s Brake leash. Your high low switch is above and that switch is to set the max Mph when you want it to kick in. Next time you're driving set your cruise and turn your engine brake on then hit that button. It should come up on your dashboard Screen "Brake leash" and it will have what speed you want it to come on at and what speed you want it to bring you back on to. Sorry I'm a little late for the party on this one. Example : Truck is governed at 70mph so cruise is set at 70mph Then Brake leash Parameters are Set at say Top speed 73 and the engine kicks on The speed lowest is 70mph so when the truck gits back to 70mph the engine brake shuts off. Basically a Volvo thing put in a mack truck especially in Automatics. Hope that helps I've driven several with the Indestructible M drive!! Very good Transmission especially with the right HP out front. -

If I remember Correctly Troy made it to Macungie with this Cabover Before he passed. He did everything in house. Stretched the frame, Paint, lights etc. Man did most of his own work on all his trucks through the years. -

Yeah it's been kinda hard Honestly I met Troy When I was about 4 or 5 yrs old. He was kinda like a big brother to me especially after I started truckin'. He told me couple months before he passed "Junior You ain't a Truck driver You're a Trucker. You're part of a dying breed that embraced the old school ways and Driving a truck is a way of life and will always be for you". Kinda hit me in the feels when he said that. ♥️ -

I understand where you're coming from mate. And I actually let it go when I deleted that thread. What I was meaning by my latest response is "Don't judge a person until you've scuffed dirt in their boots" kinda thing. 😉 And just putting out there the type of Person That I really am honestly. As far as the original "Problem Child" goes that's been taken care of in the proper manner that it should've been a long while back I just didn't have the time to deal with it. And yes I'm happy as a pig in new mud to be honest. -

As far as My reaction being Childish. I don't care honestly but I won't be personally attacked and my experience in the industry or business industry be invalidated by anyone. Especially someone whose done it numerous times and I've extended the "Olive Branch" too numerous Times as well. Sorry if people feel I'm Childish but I don't back down from Nobody...You Come at me I'm going to push back and you're gonna git the Smoke. I didn't git this far in the trucking industry or life in general By backing down. -

Speaking of International and the Harvester Home Coming. My Friend Troy Link Won Heavy Weight Champion Acouple years ago With this 1979 4070 B Brahm Edition Cabover. He restored it from the ground up in his shop in Homer Michigan. Unfortunately he lost his battle with Throat Cancer Last year. He was Affectionately known as Chicken Troy due to his love of Chicken lights 😋. -

Back when Automakers actually cared about what Customers wanted instead of just making money. I know that 400M backed by the C6 transmission in my 79 Bronco Could move that 3 ton beast pretty good especially when the other 2 barrels on that Holley 650 kicked in!!
-
Very good motor and I removed the stock exhaust and had Custom straights to cherry bomb mufflers to 3 inch tips put on my Bronco. And didn't have a catalytic converter to worry about just true dual exhaust off each manifold. Loved that Motor!!!
-
351M is a 5.8 liter V8 alot of guys call them a 351Modified 400. 400M is a6.6 liter V8.

I've got a 76 Chevy C20 that runs good and I've had several Old Fords that ran good too! Back then it didn't matter what it was they all were built quality and they all ran good
-
I can tell you Values of Old trucks are going up especially if Customized. Yours would easily bring 30-40k at the auction especially with the 351 sitting under the hood. Now if someone did a dumb like Hot rod guys do and put Chevy motors in Ford Vehicles then that'd be an issue 😆 🤣 😂 😹
