  1. I have an idea... Can you run the truck to temperature, then crawl under and touch the rear countershaft bearing covers looking for a hotter one, and also, check the rears for high heat. Sometimes the noise travels through the drive shaft..
  2. the ground wires are gray, is there a loose ground at the signal switch?
  3. Not sure, may not be.. another possible cause would be too much pre load on the rearward bearings.. I'm trying to stay away from going too deep into this. It's hard to diagnose this one without hearing it and driving the truck.
  4. What I found, was to be as dry as possible when cleaning. There is no filter for incoming air. If you work in dusty conditions, any extra moisture will cause it to clog sooner. I don't have a cure-all for this issue. I've just done my common procedure. I had it down to less than 30 minutes... There were many RD's in my life
  5. I bet they were pre loaded, and pushed themselves loose, or they werent tight and they were side loaded.. Can you re-set the PTO's, or do you have to hire someone?
  6. Busted,, Yeah , I didnt ever paint the Mack tranny's.. they werent painted in the first place...
  7. the transmission was re-built.. When I used to rebuild transmissions, I stripped them clean.. when the transmission was done I would hook air to it and bench test it for shiftability including range shifting. I would put the stick on it and hook shop air to the shift cover, run all lines correctly and use my home made crank to operate the transmission and all its gears and ranges. then I would set the PTO'(s) and be done..
  8. I bet the PTO's need shimming.. can you do that or will you bring it back to the shop for a warranty repair?
  9. I would put my money on hard discharge pipe coming off the compressor.. They clog up with carbon... PITA to replace.. unhook the far end of it and start the engine, i bet flow will be low. jojo
  10. I read over the postings again. I wouldnt dig in too deep right now. since its been a while, maybe start over and check for air flow issues. did you pull the top rear cover to see if the shift fork bolt is loose? Since you live in Kernersville, Transource is right there .. can they figure it out for you? jojo
  11. OH heck,,, i thought he was talking about the air passing through it to defrost his windshield.. Ooopps......
  12. I am well versed in this... remove the screws where the large duct goes up to the heater core housing. there is a rubber boot that seals the duct. slide it back a bit.. it may be dry rotted. it is a PITA to get back in place when your done.. I made a cardboard tube round enough to fit over my shop vac. hose.. (12-16 inches long) then I flattened all of it but the round end for the vac. I put layers of duct tape over the flattened end to keep it flat. then I cut a rectangular hole on one side ( not through both sides, just one) , in the flat end 3/4'' from the end.. basically making a sideways sucker for the vac. then I used a wedge to hold the large duct open and stuck that sucker in there. I chose cardboard because it wont damage the core. a combo of a blow gun and my fancy pants tools and some patience will get the dirt out.
  13. Nope, we all see it.. don't forget the movie that will have footage from the 60' s where the fire hose was used on rioters, and Rosas bus ride, and the lunch counter,, and so- on...... Boo Whoo Whoo... I get sooo tired of rich black people crying about racism, and how whitey keeps them down..
  14. Thank you Fani Willis,,,,, Thank you... We knew anyway.. Jojo
  15. hell.. I thought he had an actual clutch pedal when I answered him in another posting.. yes,,, grade gripper....
  16. Oh My Suffering Christ !!!! You are amazing.. I had no idea there were that many..
  17. 👍 there are many postings about your issue, that you can search out.. You may see more and/or better info.. Many of us took the time to write lengthy post's on this issue.. Just type in ''fuel pressure'' and I bet you will see a lot of info.. jojo
  18. that engine has 6 individual injection pumps. EUP's.. you can get fuel pressure from the port behind the over board breather on the front of the engine.. 1/4'' NPT threads, you can hook a hose or long nipple there with a gauge.. jojo
  19. the Clintons are related to a handful of deaths, McDoogle, Vince Foster, Epstien, I have forgotten a couple more right now, possibly JFK Jr. but not sure......
