  1. Is the fan a Horton air controlled type ? Can you see the clutch assembly through the sides of the fan clutch ?
  2. If your fan has the wires inside a thick black hose at the fan then you have a smart fan. So yes to multi speeds. Im getting rusty. Been away for 4 years now. Also, if you have the green pressure switch in the A/C line, then that is the fan signal switch.. My rusty ass may be on a roll here..🍻
  3. Yes to a binary switch on the receiver dryer, no to standard APADS install. Yes to air flow. Yes to high pressure shutting it down. Yes to possible control unit failure..
  4. Does it have an APADS controller mounted on the left side around the coolant tanks. ?? If so there should be faults indicated on it. Do you know how to clear the APADS out ?
  5. I was hoping to see pics of a Breastliner, but so far,,, nope...
  6. Thats awesome. I guess ibwas thinking about all the twisting of the frame when off road, loosening up the bolts. Thanks bud
  7. Wish i had known about them a dozen a-frames ago.. do they have a long life span ?

are you having a specific issue that we can help with?
  12. ive never done one of those that drop in. I only ever had to remove the body and all thats behind the a-frame and roll it out with the rears as an assembly.
  13. Paul,,, the Whale huggers here in the states would have a field day with Bob if he did that. Just sayin' 🍻
  14. Happy Birthday to mackey58. Hope you have a great one. 🥳🎂
  15. can you remove the probe from the core and let it hang in the open and re-test. I do know however, that the control panel is kinda junky. I have replaced them many times for similar issues. I hate loading parts into the cannon, but sometimes I do it.
  16. You say the binary switch is good ? Can you duplicate the issue in the shop ? The system needs at least 50 psi to start the compressor, any chance the terminals in the wire at the binary switch are loose or rotted away ?
  17. Ok.. so now i see why you have to separate them.. A reciprocating saw will make quick work of that. I think someone posted that as well. Glad to see you working on it. I still cant work on my old truck because all of our daily drivers need attention each weekend.. The blazing hot temps here kill my motivation.. Almost forgot... I still work a full time job.. 👍
  18. Why are drilling the rim?? Just nibble at the tire bead..
  19. May want to look at the steering pump mounting as well. MarkT may have a point as well.. the fan may be blowing oil from a leak near by the filter.
  20. Hey Bud.. that pump is easy to remove. Crack the fuel lines loose, pull the filter off then you will see the bolts, 4or5, somehow i forgot . They are 10 mm.
  21. Sir that post is 10 years old. Can you describe the issue you are having, and include make, model and year of the truck. Lots of smart guys on here.

grounds in the cab are behind the cluster to the left. in the fuse panel lower left or right screwed to the cab frame. there is a black ground breaker on the firewall under the wind shield, and on the block in front of the starter, and there is a wire from that bolt to the frame behind the left steer tire. , and of course the battery box. The bulletin had use to remove the eyelets, throw the star washers away, and scrape off any heat shrink glue that may get between the eyelets, and clean the mounting surface before putting the wires back on. the ground on the engine block does work its way loose, and it is the main ground for the engine harness. I see i posted on this thread, rather than another thread. Anyway, not gray wires... If you can find the 9-2 code svc. bulletin, it has a good procedure. Of course, Heinz can find good info as well..
