  1. I just looked at it the other day, it was $540 or $560.. what the hell happened ??
  2. Same here
  3. That makes sense.. Of course for me I needed it, because my shop and tool cabinet is set up for the Mack Engines I build
  4. Yep.. here too.. I have to work in my 'not climate control' shop this weekend.. I have a 24" fan coming tomorrow from Amazon... I still love the Green truck that runs now...
  5. For what its worth.. I am well versed in not having the money to buy the right tools and such. I have quite a few home made tools, some are crude.. I only offered my opinion on the liner puller, because for me, and an engine builder like he is, $600.00 to do what hes doing may be a good purchase. Hell my Eaton Back Box Jig is home made from scrap metal, and i made it in a hurry because i had to fix a truck quick... 15 years later, i still have it and wont buy a factory made jig.. Ive done a sh!t load of back boxes with it... My liner installer is also home made.. and again, many liners were set with it... My success is not always the tool.. It is also my skill and knowledge that i learned from doing many over many years... Home made tools kick a$$ !! Run What You Brung.....
  6. Im sure i have only seen them on the bottom..
  7. I love that truck.. 🍻
  8. Yes, that is a pressure protection valve, and the ball valve is to isolate the VGT controls. i font know why. In previous models that valve was for the engine fan air supply to the celenoid on the radiator frame. Mack Pro, likely knows better than me.
  9. yes indeed you need a liner puller. I used this one in the shops then bought one of my own. I paid $1000.00 for this tool 5+ years ago. and Freedom Racing has it for $600.00.. I used it on an ENDT 673, aside from all the other Mack engines.
  10. It's too bad the we dont have a Government in D.C. that has a majority of people who are 'America First'.. Too many are out for wealth and power for themselves. on both sides.. Say what you want to about Vladimir Putin..... He is a real example of a leader and government that put's their Mother Country first.. Hell,,, even our Libtard news companies here in the States brag about Putin's love for ''Mother Russia'' No need to post anything about me wanting a dictatorship that kills Americans.. I am not a fan of Putin, just his love for Country..
  11. Ok, tjc... It happens. He is the scapegoat, that supposedly shot Trump a year ago.. but, he was cremated days after he was killed by the FBI...
  12. I hope you are joking. tjc... 🤔
  13. Yes Bob .. the 673.. truth... Sometimes, i dont feel like touching it because its a pain in my A$$. I am weak on that era, and Everything i do to it takes longer than it should, and I have tools. Parts are hard to get some times, and so on and so on. I will be driving 45 minutes tomorrow after work to hunt through several piles of parts to look for a good turbo mounted exhaust manifold.. Oh Boy.. ok... I think I' m bitching now... 🍻
  14. Im just F'n with you.. Glad to see you working on it. I have to go get some parts for an engine ive had for 3 years, tomorrow. The owner called me today.. So now its my turn to on the Ball.. The suck part is that we are at 90+ degrees with humidity, and my modest shop doesnt have climate control because im poor.. waah waah waah..🍻
  15. I told you to unscrew it. It will come out... You were able to steer it around the house, so it wasnt frozen... Luv u Bob 😘

ok. well maybe just feel things out. here is a tool that is cheap and easy to use. I use mine often when doing wiring repairs. I even fixed the ABS light in my wifes Avalanche. A wheel sensor wire broke in the wheel well, and I cut it clean, slid heat shrink over it then soldered the wires back together. that was over a year ago. these run between $25-$35.00

This is the High dollar stuff, and this is just a small sample of what is out there. how deep do you intend on diving when it comes to wire harness repair. I have used these tools many times and they are great, if you do a lot of low voltage harness repairs.

Tools like these come in handy when repairing plugs and sockets. There are many options for these terminal release tools. There are also very expensive terminal installation tool kits.
  19. Thanks bud.. thats why i was asking. I have very little knowledge on these. I still have an ENDT 673 in my shop that I pick at, and it has the 'tang' a 4 pointed metal coupler. I have never timed one. I do have the Mack service book for it. I hope im smart enough to do it right..
  20. Does that pump drive hub have the dowel pin in it like the 4 valve ?
  21. Happy Birthday 🍰 🎂
  22. isnt it attached to the CCV ? Heck, I cant remember. maybe it is on the right side under the oil filters. Sorry. I just lost it off the tip of my tounge..
  23. Well. I just did one last month.. i sprayed it with pen oil, heated the flange with a torch, and used a dead blow to knock the balancer. It took 30+ minutes, and it was on a spare engine that was outside for years.. very rusty.
  24. Post some pics. I doubt it has APADS.. It may just be a viscous fan.... No sweat, i enjoy this.. jojo
