  1. I wouldn't mind having a WhiteGMC WG car hauler chassis... My VAH is down today with an SCR fault code.
  2. Hood and BBC look longer than brigadiers I remember.
  3. Interesting... Fuel mileage numbers that would be enviable today, from 1981! And from a Caterpillar no less! An engine hardly known for fuel mileage. Seems to me 30 years later we should be getting 15mpg.
  4. I consider Oliver Stone a propagandist as well. Do your research and take his point of view with a grain of salt as well.
  5. Don't think I've ever seen a 3408 under a short hood. Definitely a long hood.
  6. Rush Limbaugh said it best on Fox News Sunday... The media did not make Donald Trump, therefore they cannot destroy him.
  7. There has been no effort to eliminate the free press. If they can't take criticism, it's more their problem than it is a problem for our president.
  8. Not to worry, BC! I own an F and MH!
  9. My vote for F model... Trucks should be welded, not riveted.
  10. Up to about 10 years ago, I would see this truck still working around Brockville. Hudson still brings it out to shows, don't know if it is still in service or not. Hudson's has a nice fleet, including a clean MH also.
  11. My E9 used a gallon every 3000 miles on rotella. Switch to Delvac, oil consumption went away. Just my experience.
  12. I kept telling Jeff no no no but he insisted... He must see some redeeming quality in me. Maybe it's the fact that I'm such a good BS artist. I wish I could have been there Saturday for my inauguration speech, but I was too busy hauling cars... we have more than we can handle including VW TDI returns.
  13. I spoke to a friend of mine over the weekend. He is a mechanic for NFI. Told me yes, freightliner is just as you describe, Robert. But as soon as warranty is out, they install grease fittings.
  14. I'd say good riddance, don't let the door hit you where you think.
  15. Some guy on here I remember named Smith... Maybe a relation?
  16. That makes no sense... A moving part with no grease fitting. Reminds me of the Ford pickup trucks with "no maintenance" front ends. Yet all the aftermarket replacement parts had grease fittings lol
  17. Not gonna start an argument about oil, but had bad experience with rotella in my E9 years ago, switched to Mobil Delvac and been running that with good results in all my Macks ever since. Buy a good quality name brand and stick with it.
  18. Buying new trailers would stimulate job creation for manufacturers and scrappers. Good for the economy. Safer than in-house mechanics "splicing" trailers together, I would think.
  19. My company will not broker freight unless the trailer has air brakes. These pickup truck rigs are generally not well maintained, and the wedge trailers you describe are notoriously top-heavy.
  20. Malatesta has mostly gone out of household goods, focused now on auto transport. You may recognize them as Horseless Carriage.
  21. Never ceases to impress me that we are allowed 14 hours a day to do our job, but it's OK for enforcement to waste an hour of a driver's time. Most days that would make the difference for me delivering a load or getting home.
  22. That setup looks to me for the Masspike and or NY Thruway.
  23. Doesn't appear to have much for headlights, either...
  24. There's a scrap yard in West Elizabeth, PA has a Michigan loader with a 673... At least it was still running 10 years ago when I was there.
  25. Can't help but think she ran hot with the radiator blocked like that.
