  1. Looks like dumbasses to me dangerously screwing around in traffic on a skinny road.
  2. The only difference between this week and last week is Obama told the media lies that they wanted to hear.
  3. I used to have his number. Stopped in about 10 years ago. Nice guy to talk to, but he won't sell anything. There isn't much left there that is of any use anyway. Everything is rotted away and seized.
  4. Backing out of TPP is a good start. NAFTA will be the next negotiation. We can't have it both ways. We've been told for years it's a global economy. America can't compete with homegrown union labor, the way it used to be. Manufacturing costs are too high. If you want the good jobs to return, we have to develop a more isolationist trade status. I don't know if we can return to that.
  5. And I suppose we heard nothing but the truth for the last 50 years.
  6. Obama's out there right now... Perhaps he can console them.
  7. Don't forget it's been going on since Obama got elected. Democrats have lost heavily in state and local elections for the past 3 cycles. Americans are taking their country back. Right on, David. If you know of someplace you'd be better off, by all means go away!
  8. I have no problem with that. When big business and Wall Street do well, don't we all do well? After all, they provide the jobs for most of us. Like it or not, ours is a "trickle down" economy.
  9. By "babysitting", I mean we contribute far more to world affairs through the UN and other programs than any other nations, but get little in return, and NO respect. Much like the snowflake liberal protesters, they have no concept of individual liberty, because they are incapable of individual responsibility.
  10. Well said, McCrafty. KS, I respect your worldly knowledge of current events, but what is the problem with putting America first? Yes we are a big part of the global community, but the USA is basically an upstart compared to other cultures. In less than 300 years, we have created the greatest economy and standard of living in the world, far surpassing many other nations thousands of years old. Why is it now our country needs to babysit the rest of the world? Every nation around the globe has its own right to practice its own form of nationalism and put itself first. In fact, it is every governments' duty to its own people. Instead of criticizing America and trying to "level the playing field", maybe they should try our brand of governance "by the people" and they may enjoy the great success that is our American experiment.
  11. The simple pleasures of life are what the average working folks are all about. Thanks Paul for getting this thread back on track. The libs keep trying to bait us into a pit of despair. As long as you got lead in your pencil everything else seems to fall into place.
  12. My life is passing too fast as it is. Leave my life expediency alone.
  13. Your hero, Obama did all that damage. Trump is here to fix it.
  14. As long as you can get parts, keep running the old stuff. Mechanical engines. Long live the E6!
  15. Good on you, Paul. The Muslims want every Jew dead and Israel wiped off the map, and by proxy America because we support Israel, but WE are the intolerant ones. Obama directed his UN ambassador to throw Israel under the bus, and Trump is accused of being an anti-Semite. I can't follow liberal logic.
  16. Because I like my country the way it is, that makes me an intolerant deplorable. Our exceptionalism is why everyone wants to be here. Why should we capitulate to every small minority until we become the third-world shithole that they all came from? The most intolerant people I know are the bleeding heart liberals that try to accommodate everyone.
  17. Exactly my point about linehaul trucking. If all I had to do was 500 miles on the interstate every day, I would have no trouble with E-LOGS. My car hauling schedule is much like yours, Hobert. MAYBE 200 miles a day with lots of stops, pickups, drop-offs, and variables to suck up your time. Speaking of sucking up time, I'm starting in Little Ferry, NJ this morning with 3 stops in Brooklyn and Queens, and a reload out of JFK airport... NYC on a Friday gotta love it! Hope it all fits into 14 hours, but either way I'm going home tonight. My only hope is that all the snowflakes have gone to Washington DC for the blanket party.
  18. Lucas advertises cling to metal parts better than oil to avoid dry starts, also minimize viscosity breakdown in high temperatures. All I know is my 2000 CX 427 had Lucas since new as long as I owned it, now going on 2 million miles yet to be overhauled. Bottom end bearings once in that time. Maybe Lucas had something to do with it, maybe not.
  19. Heavy gunner , you're doing it all wrong... You're supposed to leave your home terminal Drive out 5 hours to another terminal , swap trailers , eat your lunch for 30 minutes , and then drive 5 hours back to your home terminal every day. According to the rule makers , isn't that the way every Trucking operation works?
  20. How is he going to work now that the circus is closed? That skill doesn't translate very well on a resume for any other position.
  21. Usually when I add Lucas, I put half my oil in then the Lucas then top off with oil. Probably mixes better that way
  22. That flatbed had a DoD load, most likely Landstar or Mercer, so probably driver is on E-LOGS. Too fast for conditions, trying to maintain average speed for the allotted 14-hour window. Again, a poor decision that ended badly. Has nothing to do with "cheating" on the logbook.
  23. It's got nothing to do with cheating. As soon as you start your day, that internal clock tick, tock, tick, tock reminds you that any slight delay or change of plans can throw the entire day. And paycheck. So that leads certain people to make poor decisions throughout the day. Did you ever watch a contestant panic on a gameshow when they know time is running out? Not every trucking job is as carefully laid out like a teamster linehaul. Most days I start without knowing where I will be after lunch.
  24. We have an ever- increasing accident and damage rate at my company, with approx. 70 car carriers. Whenever the boss asks, " what is causing this?" My standard answer is E-LOGS and the 14-hour rule. Everybody is mindlessly in a hurry. Common sense thought goes out the window.
  25. KS, I appreciate your historical viewpoint on Mack engineering. I can't wait to put my MH 4v-350 to work this year.
