    There is a nice yellow 79 R model on facebook. $9,000. Body looks clean 237 6 speed. 256-577-5442. I think I saw it under R model enthusiasts.

    Had two of those EMD-645's at our Nuclear plant in Ct.. Used to bring them up to 900 rpm full load. They were real screamers. When they tore our plant down they went for a second life in the Midwest.

    Those Acars made the Midwest Macks look puny in there day. The B-81's didn't travel west too much. However Mack outsold Acar 10 to one.

    I've often wondered what an R/RD hood would look like with a CH cab. May be we will find out. Seems obvious that if they are going to stretch the front end of the CHU they will offer Cummins big bore.
