  1. Anybody know what that thing on the roof that looks like a tiny Michelin Man is ? I see them on trucks from time to time. Some even light up. I'm guessing there's some story that goes along with them.

    Yes. Canadian man.
  3. Never any need to make any kind of apology for your post. (endless ? ) You're way more than an average guy restoring a truck....thanks.
  4. Scania and the E9 were pretty close when they came out . European designs seem to like a single head per cylinder . I guess maybe it has it's advantages ?? You guys put them through way harder service than the majority of V8s saw her (some worked hard) Last I read the Scania was using unit pumps and all that good stuff. 732 HP is pretty hard to ignore .

That's why soaking the sterile gauze in saline . It won't stick to the wound. But IDK if you do that for burns. Wet to dry dressings need to be changed often and sterile.
  7. Scania and Mack go way back. Mack's first direct injection diesel was coached along by Scania. Also it's no coincidence Scania V8s and the mighty E9 share the same displacement. Some B models even could be bought with a little Scania diesel engine ( and I think early Rs ) last I knew the Scania V8S was at 732 HP.

That's a thing too. Man.....I know burns hurt like a f$#@er. Every picture I feel bad for ya

IDK about on burns, but gauze soaked in saline draws that out. Has to be changed several times a day. But like I said, not sure if you do that for a burn like that. Neosporin ???
  10. that truck might be transphobic

That's a hard one to put a dressing on too. You never realize how much ankles and joints move.....until you can't

Geeze.... that's gotta be second degree at least. I feel for ya . I've had smaller ones and that was bad enough.
  13. Paint like that is a thing of the past. Getting that younger guys wouldn't have a clue what was involved in painting trucks like back then. It's all vinyl now. Lots of those old trucks were handsome, and it did involve pride in making them look like that. Lost art.
  14. What are you guys talking about "old days" the Swift trucks and Fedex trucks are all in their company colors ........🤭
  15. Yes, the similarities between these guys is something. Multiple projects all meticulous. And it's not their actual profession. That's why I say, a compliment from Tom is from a guy who did the same thing. Not many of us are in that position.
  16. Oldspwr did a Brockway, and luckily for the rest of us he documented it from the start. Same as you. You guys did a outstanding job on your trucks. I think I speak for many on these sites, we greatly appreciate all your efforts keeping us informed with progress let alone just enjoying reading and seeing the trucks . ( most of us are a little envious of your abilities ) Think it's safe to say there's guys inspired by having read and followed these builds.
  17. I wonder if Matt gets the full effect of this post coming from you (lol) ? Truck looks fantastic.

Holy f$#@. Better be careful to not get an infection. I've had way smaller burns like that ( way smaller ) and they take a while to get over. Have you seen a doctor ?
  19. Likely a 4 speed too.
  20. Joey, you should move up to this area. Probably wouldn't have much trouble finding a job close to $30.00/hour and we won't light you on fire or nothing like that.
  21. That monkeypox doesn't stand a chance
  22. Demetre the bone smuggler
  23. I think newer Mack carriers have an option for lockers similar to Meritors or Eatons. I know I saw a tractor with an air line going into the carrier on a new truck a couple years back. They had some other number too , wasn't 92/93
  24. That Galaxy is pretty nice. Wonder what engine is in it. Likely some form of FE, but you never know now a days
  25. That's some extreme truck'n. Not to sound stupid, but I'm guessing there's a reason for the high air intakes other than they come in handy for something like in the video. Thanks for posting.
