  1. that sounds about right to me , check the basics first as I have already said does it make smoke straight away , takes away all the guess work doing just basic checks
  2. does it have smoke out the exhaust the very instant you first wind it over?? if it does you then know you arent loosing fuel So the only other problem it can be is compression which can be caused by two things that I can think of off the top of my head timing , the injector pump isnt timed correct to the motor and is a bit retarded , you would be surprised how common this appears to be or worn motor parts eg valves needing a valve grind if the motor has Indians you would head towards rings been crook Paul
  3. Love him or hate him, he is on the money with this. Paul
  4. nothing would surprise me in the game of smoke and mirrors of todays politics Paul
  5. And I guess a bit more. If it was your wife, son, daughter or whomever, would you prefer someone to swerve out of the way to help them survive a mistake and save their lives or just go "stuff im in a big truck? I'm in the right and I'm not shifting. Should have thought about killing yourself before you tried to overtake " To me it's a no brainer. I know what I would try and do, and that would appear to be a big difference between the US and Australia. Just saying you may be right, but as I have said, being right isn't always the best option. Paul
  6. Like all things in life, that's your call and as long as your fine with it, that is all that really matters, and as long as I'm happy with my call, that's all that really matters to me. As to me, falling off the perch to save some fruit loop and how my family will feel about it. Well, I won't be around to worry about it. Dunno. Like most things in life, the answers aren't that simple. Paul
  7. Mate I think the little Bedford's are a pretty good little motor and I reckon they would be fine in a Genset but they arent a patch on todays diesel's they are very basic as has been said and gutless as also has been said but in a genset I reckon they would be fine Paul
  8. Whilst I understand what you are saying one thing I have learnt in life is I gotta live with my decisions and a lot of the time it doesn't really matter if I'm wrong or right. What really matters to me is if I could have done something, but as they say "we are all different". Could I live with myself by allowing someone to be killed just because I wasn't gonna put myself off the road to save them?? Dunno. A big call and one I hope I never have to make. Paul
  9. yep you get them everywhere the dash cam has changed the world forever I think Paul
  10. Tell me and just what issue of Vogue was you reading when you discovered this little GEM of information ???????? But gotta agree with what you say they Paul
  11. Yes mate I have to agree with everything you say 100% as to who signed the said paper work well it wasnt any of the 25 million people that call this wide brown land home And to be fair Australia has always had a history of over seas companies investing in this country , many of our biggest things that have happened in Australia are because overseas companies have invested in our future But the difference is in the past these companies employed Australians and invested in the local communities not China though. A old farmer back home told me years ago "China is the oldest trader in the world so if we think we are getting a good deal it will be a better deal for them !!!!" old Harry was right back then and still is today And one more thing the government is very good these days at pushing small businesses out to make way for big business and it's happening more often , The Australian government today will take private land off people for some future government project only to cancel the project and then on sell the land to guess who China A lot of the Australian people are getting a bit frustrated by whats going on Paul
  12. China is a bit of a dirty word in Australia at the moment they are buying up all our cattle stations and farm land buying the slaughter yards bringing in their own cheap labor and slowly bending us over and giving us the rough end of the pineapple with out any Vaseline and there is public out cry about all this but the government keeps on sucking up China's ass let me tell ya !!!!, As we say if China sat down in hurry it would break the Aussie governments shoulders The sad part is just like the US when this all goes pare shaped and it will you and me and all the rest of the common hard working people will be left to pick up the pieces And just like the US neither of the two main contenders wanting to run the show are any good Paul
  13. just the thing for the family man !!!
  14. Gudday Troy and welcome to the dog house Paul
  15. the verdict is about right I reckon little utes dressed up as big utes doesnt mean they are gunna do the job you want from them most will do it ok but not legally !!!!! Paul
  16. Did you know that on this day in 1917 the last big horse charge took place In Australia Halloween didnt exist until a few years ago and a lot of stubborn people like me think there are more important things to think about and are a lot more relevant today and should mean a lot more to Australians than Halloween after all it's a American thing and let the good people of the US enjoy it for the day that it is Now if you havent put your fist thru the computer screen and started swearing at me that blood skippy the bush kangaroo Aussie chuck a couple of cold ones in a esky pull up a pew and check out the movie in the link bellow you might enjoy it I know I do seeya Paul

  19. Good on young Chris for getting out and having a go. Plenty of other able bodied lazy bums in Australia would rather sit on their useless asses than get out and have a crack. Grab life by both hands young Chris your gonna go places in this world. Paul

  23. pretty part of the world up in there Swishy was wandering thru that area there a month or so ago bloody wet and cold forgot to pack shoes and jumper before I headed south Head south with me pluggers and Hawaiian shirts only had my grand fathers old Bluey for warmth LOL Paul
  24. Bloody government a couple of years ago, they couldn't give a stuff as mining was all the go. Now China's economy is cattle trucked, now they are all busy sucking up to farmers and station owners after treating them like crap for years. Typical governments that are always trying to buy votes instead of just doing a good job of governing the country. Rant over. Not really much of a rant, but if I get fully fired up, hell there will be smoke coming of the computer. seeya Paul
