  1. s there a site where I can check and see what my old 1964 Mack b-615 is worth? As many of you have experienced a divorce and the husbands old truck is now priceless. Thanks for any help!
  2. Here in Lexington, Kentucky, when Deans Mack sales was sold and became Lexington Mack, they also sold Dodge trucks. As a teenager, I remember sitting in one of those Bighorns and watching the special guest of the night. It was Junior Samples of Hee Haw fame. Where did all that time go?
  3. There is an old GMC like that in Rockcastle county Ky. On 1-75 at the 59 or 62 mm. You can see it from the northbound side.He also has a COE pete and sleeper cab Autocar an A-cab w-900 Kw and a fire truck .Owners name is David Thompson. If anyone wants his phone # let me know and I will see what i can do.
  4. He passed me on I-75 in Ky last week. Those air cleaners really will catch your eye in a moment!
  5. What is the thought behind an open cab truck?
  6. May driving that fine looking H inspire you to get yours running!
  7. That is one fine looking Trnstar. I dont care much for the cab visor. It might look better to see the checkered motif on the visor too!
  8. I have been seeing a bunch of those Cascadias on the interstate too
  9. I worked at Lexington Mack in Kentucky during the late seventies as a mechanics helper and steamed trucks prior to painting them. I saw an awful lot of those DM 800's as coal trucks.I know east Ky has got to be full of them.We are about 2 hours from coal country here in Lexington and most of that dealership sales had to do with coal trucks back then. I likes them alot . Please post pictures of your progress and look to east Ky for parts too!
  10. As a fleet slipseat driver I have driven both and find good things about both. The first few orders of MH cabovers @UPS didnt have power steering or cruise control. The last bunch did have both and the steering was so quick that it would scare the hell ot of you at times. I loved the big doghouse. It was a bed ready at anytime even in a daycab.I still miss the extra room for the radiobox and extra stuff you might need. The conventional cab stays cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Just not as much area to ventilate I guess. When your supervisor rides with you it feels cramped with that blasted computer right in the middle with a small "table " in between the seats too. Most of the drivers prefer a Mack to most anything else.we havent seen any new Macks in Lexington for a about 5or more years now.Other locations have gotten some.
  11. I love seeing stories like that. I have a friend here in Ky.(David) who knew my Dad before he was killed in a wreck. He tells me those type of stories an I love each one.
  12. I used to see those running around town pullng a trailer for Overnite and Smith's Transfer. I wish I had taken some pictures of them as they are all gone now!
  13. Judging by what he came to get it with, she will be in good hands!
  14. You are one lucky young to have a man like that for a Dad!
  15. You might consider finding an AHL 1/64 scale model of the BM model mack tanker from the 1930's.
  16. I always liked the f-model. Welcome and send in some pictures when you can!
  17. I dont see a smily face, other dog. Did your fine looking mixer truck run over him?
  18. I never got used to the last version of this web page and now it is changed again. How do you get to the smoking B-model and the dancing peppers now?
  19. Although we all know what the front looks like we still need to see it!!!!! It sure looks good! What does the inside of the sleeper look like?
  20. Congratultions!!!! It took me much longer to get an old Mack, but boy is rust and faded paint ever sweet.
  21. Go to yourPPG dealer and have them get out their color wheel. There is a 10% discount coupon in the new Wheels of Time magazine for delfleet paint. I took that round piece near the bottom of the door and they matched it, dead on it!
  22. Taylor is not accepting new clients with old trucks, they quit. I tried them first about a year ago. I do have gulfway though. It is written through Travelers insurance.Gulfwayinsurers@aol.com or 727-863-5451
  23. This issue is like fine wine. It doesnt matter how cheap the wine is, as long as you like the taste. If you can jack up the front end and spin the wheel it will probably be easier to paint. That is how they paint the silver rims at UPS. With a foam paint brush
  24. I will soon show you guys some pictures that will make you all jealous as hell. I even have a witness!!!!!!!!More soon!!!
