  1. From one of the picures posted I see the plate on the passenger side door. Get the serial # off it and send it to the Mack museum to see what year it actually is.That same # is stamped into the rh side frame rail under the fender area too, among other places. Roll up your sleeves and prepare to get filthy!
  2. Where the support hooks to the cab on a b-model will eventually wear out that area. Make a brace weld ,it and be proud. It will also reduce the vibration in the cab!
  3. You probably dont need a CDL to drive a truck or tractor. The B-model itself probably does not weigh enough to make a CDL mandatory. It is determined by weight. Check your state laws and have proof of what your truck weighs. (Scale it at your local truckstop)If you begin to pull a trailer tht may be a different issue.
  4. Find a PPG dealer and have them get out the briefcase with all the color chips in it. You will be astounded with all the shades of green or any other color you see
  5. I took a piece of the interior door to my local ppg paint shop. The closest I could come to it was Delfleet green metallic #413850. It is dead on it!!!!!
  6. I think that green Mack is an EHU model.
  7. I have a 673 oil pan ,it wont fit the maxidyne. I also have the 237 in my 1964 B615, but I didnt put it in there and dont have the expertise to do it anyway. If there is a picture or other question I can help you with let me know-Bobby

  10. I haven't done diamond plate, but I have done the radiator and headlight panels on my B615. Use sandpaper of a fine grit (150) and do it again finer. Followup with some metal polish and buffer or dremel if you have one. You can see my pictures on my gallery
  11. Don't fprget to check out the BMT gallery for pictures where you can contact the owners too!
  12. The 707 engines that I have seen were all in firetrucks
  13. I have powersteering on my 1964 B-615 too. The hydraulic cylinder was leaking and has been rebuilt. (not reinstalled yet) The gearbox under the drivers side fender area is next to have the seals redone any advice for me here?

  17. I have driven many CH model macks @ UPS . There is a sensor in the coolant tank which may not be covered up with coolant. Check the coolant level in both top and bottom tanks!
  18. Build 'em near where they were born in Mack country!
  19. As far as I know all even numbered B-model Macks all had gas engines. Fire trucks are an exception to this rule.
