  1. Uhh-he does have a new bride??? Priorities😎
  2. And I'm sure they will miss you very much-which is not something a lot of employers can say in this day and age of minimal pride in doing a job well.
  3. Hah- probably they spent too much money on the sign and not enough on the building???
  4. Guy did a great job with this-also has some pretty nice resources in the shop. Note how that jack piston was "waving" at top of stroke.
  5. Nice!! I bought the wife a Cricut like 5 years ago. A year ago she started telling me about latest Cricut-so Santa brought her one. $$$ It scared her as it gets hooked up to her laptop. One of grandkids has it now and the wife still uses her old one. Grnddaughter is typical hi tech kid so I'll see what she says she can do with it!
  6. Wow-nice work! do you have a Crickut cutter or some sort of CNC that does film???
  7. Thx Hayseed. I would have to believe you can tolerate item 1.-that is a corporate problem that will cost them money in the long run. Item 3? I guess there could be some applications where the cargo "cubes out" before it "weighs out". But item 2? Kiss of death IMO. You want to know that whatever you buy, the builder will stand behind it.

    Iveco

Here is a good article from Bloomberg courtesy of our missing world wide correspondent-wanna guess who??? $3.6 billion-seems like a good buy! Glad a EU country has finally said "NO WAY" to another Chinese steal. How about it all you Aussie guys? Big Iveco's are capable?? Just think -for 3.6 billion Ford could be back where they were with a complete truck line and not only blue tractors but orange and red tractors as well 😎. Yeah wishful thinking. Agnellis End Iveco Talks With China FAW as Italy Opposes Bloomberg / April 19, 2021 The billionaire Agnelli family’s CNH Industrial NV ended talks to sell its Iveco SpA truck and bus unit to China FAW Group after the Italian government signaled it would oppose the deal. CNH abandoned the talks because the Chinese automotive group didn’t present an acceptable offer for Iveco. Italy’s government had signaled its opposition to CNH selling to a Chinese company and later praised the decision to pull out of the talks. Shares of CNH dropped as much as 4.7% in Milan, their biggest fall since January and the largest decline on the Stoxx 600 index. The stock is trading ex-dividend as of Monday. “Inevitable weakness of the stock today is an opportunity to buy,” broker Equita Sim wrote in a note Monday, saying an eventual on-highway business spin-off “represents a catalyst to remove the holding discount.” Italy’s government had been following the negotiations closely, “because it considers the production of heavy vehicles to be of strategic national interest,” said Economic Development Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti. Rome is prepared to help ensure that production remains in Italy, he said. Instead of selling the Turin, Italy-based company, CNH now plans to accelerate “deployment of ever-more sustainable transport solutions and infrastructure, in line with the EU’s Green Deal ambitions.” That confirmed an earlier report by Bloomberg that plans for a deal with the Chinese company had been scrapped. The decision was also welcomed in France, with Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire noting that he and Giorgetti have worked together to protect European manufacturing. CNH had been in talks with FAW since last year, and it rejected an initial proposal from the Chinese company valuing the business at around 3 billion euros ($3.6 billion). The talks were conducted amid growing opposition to Chinese ownership from leading politicians. Prime Minister Mario Draghi said on April 8 that he backs extending state protections for businesses, after revealing that his government recently blocked a Chinese takeover of an Italian semiconductor company. Matteo Salvini, leader of the rightist League party -- the most popular force in Draghi’s broad coalition -- said last month that the administration must protect Iveco as a strategic asset. CNH in 2019 announced it would split off its agricultural equipment business from commercial vehicle operations, though the plan has been delayed by the pandemic. A sale of one of Europe’s most iconic truck makers could shake up the sector as well as attract domestic criticism of the Agnelli family. Reply Reply All Forward
  9. Guys, anyone have an idea where you can get an owners/operators manual for one of the FL chassis? (Ex Fed EX)
  10. Brocky,. GA_D Thx guys. Just think of how expensive that was. Same trucks and for a limited number of sales they had to duplicate the assembly process.
  11. Sad fact- I'm writing my Congressmen-er "ladies"
  12. Just wondering if there was any real reason why Ford rebadged their trucks as "Mercury" and Dodge rebadged as "Fargo". Real reason other than some marketing guys thought it was a "brilliant idea". Anyone have a clue?
  13. Blackdog2's birthday today. I thought birthdays were officially acknowledged on this site but then I figured it out....must be an upper age limit to avoid legal liability issues😎
  14. All very good-tough to pick a winner!
  15. Sorry to hear this. I never met him but did exchange some messages. Was he originally from Danbury Conn.?
  16. Thinking of you both. your reactions to this are what caring people go through.
  17. Sorry- meant to say..."Beware of emails......
  18. Before of emails asking you to take a quick survey asking you to rate your recent purchase at Home Depot and you have a chance to win a prize. I have also seen same thing for other purchases at other merchants as well. Look at the address where the survey came from-it is obviously not HD. They are clever-they use the HD colors etc They will attempt to get your CC number as you "only pay shipping fee" for your prize. I spent 20 minutes on phone with someone at HD weeks ago putting them on trail of this scam but I continue to see the solicitation
  19. Speaking of embarrassed, I saw no Network TV coverage of Joe's fall on AF 1 stairs. And the good people at AOL what did they have as their top story when you log on-item 1?...Trump's Mar- a Lago has reported cases of Covid. They did manage to post Joes misfortunes as item 7. "Nothing to see here folks...move along!"
  20. Beauty! Now around here they would be calling the "fish cops"...Rabid fox!!!
