Sorry, I thought I mentioned, The big plant in "Winchester" is Winchester Va and I think they chose that site for its good connection to the interstate system making distribution beyond New England a key reason. -

Correct. Hood I think is the last of the big New England dairy producers. As I said West Lynn sold out to Garelick and Garelick was purchased by Dean Foods. Cumberland Farms is still going strong with C-stores but sold their milk production facilities in Mass, NY and NJ. Garelick produces the CF branded producks. Back to Hood they built a big production facility in Winchester for what are termed long shelf life products such as Lactaid milk which is lactose free. Hood branded products are still key here in Northeast but you are likely to see Lactaid out your way as well as Almond Breeze, Planet Oat , and Heluva Good cheese products. And good news is it is once more a privately held company vs part of some conglomerate. -

Take good care of these! When you read about the electronics in anything new, the only winners will be the mice who enjoy snacking on wiring๐

Well regardless if you like "it"-Keystone or Granite- It seems to me they have spent a lot of money on these "new" trucks. I have been convinced that at some point the Swedes would say.."why are we paying for all this duplicated effort"? ..and pull the plug on Mack, but they haven't. Or if anything limited their effort to the vocational trucks like the Keystone/Granite and given up on the owner operator "Large Car" market. Cat could spray paint a pile of dog crap Cat yellow and guys would gather around it and say..wow what a beautiful pile of dog crap. Same with Paccar, they could take that pile of dog crap and put a Pete Red Oval on it and OO's would have same reaction. Same as Ford, had they stuck to the vocational market they might still be in the class 8 business but instead they poured a lot of money chasing the OO long haul market with minimal success. One thing that will be interesting IMO is the big cheese from Sweden at the big Vegas introduction, said words to effect.."come and see these new Macks at Con-Ag together with our Volvo loaders..". If the only triaxle dumps are Macks at the show with no Volvo triaxles that maybe the plan for Mack to take care of vocational while Volvo does Long haul OO market. In any case while they showed their new air bag tandem suspension, would have been nice if they said..."and if you want a 55,000 pound camel back with a manual you can have that too"! As for "looks", I like them๐

Sad fact of life. But don't flame me guys but I voted for Trump 3 times as the lesser of two evils. And he has done a lot of good...can you imagine where we would be if Kamala had won. But pay attention to what happens now in Ukraine. Our Secty of State Rubio should be doing the negotiations but look who we have doing it- Witkoff, a NYC real estate guy and Kushner- the son in law. It is all about the "Benjamins"! Trump will sell Ukraine down the river if he thinks he can one way or another make a buck for the "family". New Trump tower on the Black Sea or someplace? Etc Etc. There may be corruption in Ukraine, but what Baltic country doesn't have some. If Putin gets one square inch of Ukraine out of this watch what happens to Taiwan. Everyone has worried about the Epstein file....Maybe they should be worried about the "Putin File". The Ukrainians, and Israel have done a lot of heavy lifting for us that hopefully my grandsons and yours won't have to do. And the "Ballroom"? All paid by "donations"??? Look who is making those "donations"? It will ultimately be "payback time" and we won't see the "receipts" for those contract awards. Oh and have you bought your Trump Watch yet. An absolute embarrassment IMO that the President of our country has such a side hustle-to say nothing of of the Trump Bitcoin. Last point, if you watched the Cabinet Meeting in which each member got to make a "report". You would think it was the Nazi staff giving a report to Hitler. Each person started with all sorts of congratulatory mention of all the good "President Trump" has done. Talk about kissing ass! But true to form..give Trump credit..he said he learned his lesson in his first administration when guys like Mad Dog Mattis and Rex Tillerson were sacked because they dared to challenge him. He said this time around he learned his lesson and everyone had to swear allegiance to him. So far everything going smoothly!! Oh well, hope I don't have my taxes audited now. But don't worry ...to my late wife's friends I will still be viewed as a fucked up Republican as I defend Trump for the good things he has done.

Hah..Justification? I think ego is one thing-if the other guy has it, I'm going to top that๐ But I think Hippy raises a good point. I think I see some of these guys doing what I would see as routine crane jobs at construction sites. Here in Mass equipment operators have to have a Hoisting Engineer License. And they are issued for various classes of equipment. I have a 2A that restricts me to loaders, loader back hoes, and excavators. cranes? that is another story. Blackdog..does Conn have a similar license now for construction equipment? -

Wow! In this day and age do they have a rotator? How many of the "old" trucks are still active? To you guys who might follow this, as a kid, growing up in that part of Conn, my like minded pals and I would frequently drive to Wallingford to check out the Plunske fleet which was always parked in front of the building-always immaculate..this was like in the early 60's! Yes I am an old fart! Nice to see a business survive and keep their standards! -
