  1. Well Donald did not like the Journal's position in which the paper blamed him for the loss of the two GA Senate seat so he fired a salvo at the paper. Attached is the WSJ's response. IMO, they nail it. While I voted for Trump, IF he lost I felt our hope was to retain the Senate. Well given the two candidates the Dems put up- a phony preacher and a loonie kid, it should have been a slam dunk. But the Donald goes down there and instead of attacking the two Dems, and pointing out to the voters the importance of keeping those two seats he focuses on HIS situation-plowing the same ground....."I was robbed! No Donald, the country was robbed when we lost control of the Senate and you own that. WSJ 3_5_21 Response to Trump.pdf
  2. "JM"- Hang in there. sounds like you have a good support base-starting with the pup. Good things happen to good people.
  3. Well it will be interesting how Trump comes across this Sunday. Key question...Did he learn anything on Nov 3rd?Trump's Loss (1).pdf The attached was a WSJ editorial last week. Note that much of that editorial focuses on what Trump's own pollster came up with. Stay tuned.
  4. I don't think you are a cynic -I think you are correctly putting your finger on it. My view?- everything at a measured pace-but that is not what these guys are willing to live with-in particular if they think government will subsidize all this stuff.
  5. CloseJames..534!😎 Biggest of the three Super Duty V-8s-401, 477, and 534. The big gassers-Ford, International and 413 Mopars together with the V-12 GMC were a good alternative to the diesels of the day considering their up front cost.
  6. Blackdog dug up this picture the other day. 54 years of truck design progress- or is it?
  7. James, Blackdog sent me this picture-he snapped it at one of the Ballard Mack locations. With an aluminum dump body of this size ZI would say a landscaper's expensive mulch hauler.
  8. good point but you have to admit, the new Cascadia looks a lot better than the previous one- IMO
  9. Thx for posting. She nails this issue. this was yesterday. It will be interesting to see if the press responds in next day or so. This lady I think has a future. I'm a firm believer that politicians who have served as governors have much more relevant experience that qualifies them for higher office. They have to live with their mistakes vs those in Congress??? Eh.. Of course Cuomo blows my theory out of the water😕
  10. How about Falcon equipped 1967
  11. Hah! I thought the lyrics were....."driven my life away"
  12. A question for KSC....Where are you Kevin?
  13. Well Dominion is putting their money where their mouth is and has slapped a huge suit on Rudy. If all these charges about Dominion have any evidence of truth, seems strange that there was never an uproar BEFORE the election. With Trump making speeches months ago that the election was going to be stolen, wouldn't it be logical that he would have had DOJ on the case in a heartbeat? No doubt in my mind there was a lot of bullshit going on surrounding the mail in ballots. But was it enough to make a difference? And again I voted for Trump twice. Always thought he was a jerk but felt we needed a non politician for a change. And he delivered enough that I could ignore his ego and arrogance. And I also think we are lucky -with his knee jerk response to many things-we did not end up in major confrontation somewhere in the world. Also in looking back, I argued with many-including my wife-"don't worry he will surround himself with capable people". And I was right-McMaster, Mattis, Tillerson etc. But guess what, his fucking ego could not stand anyone who just might have more knowledge than he on any subject-or who would not roll over to his way. Now we just have to worry about 2022 and getting the House back. And we never should have lost the Senate and I'm convinced Trump lost that for us. Instead of going down there and pointing out to everyone what loss of the Senate would mean to the country with weak Biden at the helm, he turns it into an "I'm the greatest" tour. Yes, his "good ol boys" lapped that up. Those who were undecided?-a failure. At least that is the impression I got. We also now should be making noise about creating real controls on absentee ballots. Seems to me it used to be that there were tight controls on just how you could get an absentee ballot. Should be that way again. And that should also apply to in-person voting. No different than getting on an airplane or buying a gun-if anything should be tougher. I'm grateful for the Supreme Court picks- mission accomplished Don, now time to move on. PS A retired liberal buddy of mine is a retired coach (women) at an Ivy League. I asked him what he thought of Biden's latest on transgendered guys being allowed to play in women's sports. He can't believe it.
  14. Amazing-a product that works as advertised!😎
  15. Talk about having balls huh? Well in addition to the arch supports they "give" you foam ones to put in your slippers! When I gave him that .."are you out of your mind look", he says.. "well I tell most people to go home and think it over."
  16. After the sales pitch I ask- well how much? he says 1126!..I should have said "..great- I get change for my 20"! Going back to Mike's comment, in the sales pitch they say you wear them for 1/2 hr first day and then increase daily until your foot "grows into them". so I thought..why don't I do that with ones I bought at Walmart after stepping on the Dr Scholls machine that "reads " your foot.?
  17. For sure-aside from the intact tilt hood, the frame for sure caught my eye. what is with the red engine color? Good find! good luck with it.😎
  18. Hah! very good...Dutch?...How do you say..."truck stop cutie coming on to me..?"
  19. By the way, I'm in Mass right on I 495. One of my sons commutes on that road and twice within the last month or so he has seen a green Scania cabover-same one- pulling a flat-so you won't be th only one. 😎
  20. Thx for response. I can appreciate your loyalty to the brand. I guess I would not be as confident as you in particular if I was "running the road". Its one thing if you are local-and in particular the "billboard effect " you mention is then a good attraction to bring customers to your business, but over the road? I think it's not a factor. Of more importance, if you are running the road and you have a problem, who you going to call? I can hear it now..."You need a serpentine belt for a what"??!! Good luck in any case. And who knows, when the Traton purchase of International is done we might start seeing those Scania V-8's in Internationals.
  21. I think Bob some do-at least the one I went to had 4 or 5 sneakers on the wall- I'm sure they were like 100bucks plus
  22. Just curious-what was your motivation to do this?
  23. So after going through all kinds of orthotics prescribed by podiatrists who want to sell you "stuff", I decided I would try the "Good Feet" store. the sales pitch made sense, but their price is outrageous. But having said that, if their stuff works , another story. Anyone have any experience with them?
  24. Thx for posting. Is there power along that whole stretch or do those isolated roadhouses all have generators?
  25. Interesting-where was that taken?- I noticed the Conn. Sand and Stone B and the gold B with the black hash marks on bumper. If I'm not mistaken that is an O & G truck. Very large Conn. contractor-still going strong.
