  1. That's a really nice thing your doing. Good job!
  2. I've just added a few more things to my "to do" list. Thanks.
  3. a friend of mine had a 500hp cummins with 1650ft/lb of torque, but in the top two gears it had 1850ft/lb. is it possible your truck is set up similar? I'm not sure if mack does that?
  4. Sounds like you got your moneys worth out of that turbo! Should pull really well now, hopefully.
  5. Is there a rubber boot around the steering shaft hole? I know on my kw they split and hot air will come thru. Or could be gear stick boot... Check in between the folds. My air con fans brushes wore out. New fan and she was blowing my air like a shampoo commercial! I only hope it's something that simple. Best of luck. Tim.
  6. It's a good ute. Resale value is very good too, was looking at a 2nd hand one. Will it be sold in North America?
  7. That's interesting. Not sure if aussie ones are different but my dads mack is an R788 and it has a 400 e7.
  8. That's nice to hear, after the trouble you went through. Hope it gives many miles of f happiness. Oh yeah, pics would be nice;-)
  9. With the help of my google machine, I was able to find that group 31 batteries are very similar in size to our n70 batteries. Interesting the little differences between the two countries.
  10. Does that battery box hold two n70 batteries? Might get one for my R model of so. Seems to be good quality.
  11. Truck looks fantastic! Very tastefully done. Credit to everyone involved.
  12. I think Lmackattack is right. Mind you, I wouldn't wanna do it too often. Yeah they are all side tippers, haven't seen how they do it but I imagine it would be a big loop, tip them all off and have a big front end loader reclaim it into piles. Or, maybe they tip into hopper or shoot and straight into the ship...
  13. Paul, yes it's supposed to be dry season up here! It's all back to front, Mother Nature must be drunk! As far as driving them, I could only imagine you would have to like it slow. Mind you, it's a pretty flat landscape up there. They used to sit in 100km/h once wound up but government has restricted them to 90 now. They are powered by regular 550 cats, 620 isx and the new isx e5s. Not sure regarding compressors. I know cummims has a big twin piston one. Double the capacity of the standard ones.
  14. For me personally, I wouldn't have it on my truck. Reliability is everything to me, and nothing more reliable than a bit of mirrored glass bolted to the door. They don't mention how much saving they would expect to get?
  15. Would like to hear the end results. Always a good feeling when things run like they should!
  16. Doing some large scale caravanning while on holidays in NZ I see...
  17. That dress looks very becoming on her. I'd be coming to if I were that dress!
  18. So why is it being moved? I know some people will give the house away instead of paying to have it demolished. On another note, how are you liking the Kenworth?
  19. With concessional loading each Tri group is good for 23.5 ton. Total gross weight of 170 ton, or around 340,000 pound.
  20. Doing some local work in a place called port Hedland. It's a big iron ore port and with the down turn of the ore price a few junior miners have stopped production and lots of trucks sitting around.
  21. I knew a bloke who broke his jaw and lost most of his teeth on one of those bloody things. I won't go near them after that and now your experience. Get well soon mate.
