  1. I think it was up until the mid 80s. I remember there was a posting on here about someone else building them for the R-models.
  2. The truck had a triplex with a 4 speed behind it? cant remember. Followed it to Englishtown years ago. I recall it had the triplex with something behind it.
  3. Landscaper from Milford bought 3 or 4 of his trucks i hear.
  4. How many KWs he running now? I see the 2 with steels bodies hauling out of our buddies quarry a couple days a week.
  5. i second the richards/king of covers. Good people, good system.
  6. A lot of guys spend the extra money for them for the extra strength. Terzians Cls for example had them and many other around here. Not too heavy and not light either. Should have the single piece housings being 50s where as 44s of the same year commonly have the 2 piece ones that crack and leak. They usually start the single piece with 46 and up.
  7. Thoase are 50k rears. No cones and no outer trunnion but you can see the trunnion tube sticks out further then in a 46k rear suspension.
  8. send your vin to mack museum. will take a few weeks but they will send you a box of information on it.
  9. I mainly took pictures of the Macks and older trucks but heres the link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/125349217@N03/sets/72157647178493300/
  10. We went. Rain stayed off till about 2:30 or 3. Was mainly light. Stopped around 6 but the dew point was too high so the track crew couldn't get it dry even though they spent hours trying to. Better with the pickups on the parking side of the track to keep them out of the truck area. Good amount of Macks compared to previous years. Next they need to ban air horns and excessive jake brake use and it will be a good event.
  11. Some from Englishtown. I know the 3 tractors have E9s. i forget what the wrecker had, I wanna say a E6.
  12. I overheard that guy talking to someone and said he has 4 others trucks with the old Mack V8s in them and that the only reason he swapped it out for the 8V92 was because it was sitting there and they cant get parts for the old V8s anymore.
  13. Depends on if your getting paid by the ton or by the hour. If its by the ton your better off with the lighter truck as long as it still has a heavy frame and rears. Personally i would get the Mack either way. There are plenty of guys down your way running older heavy Macks.
  14. We might go, not sure yet. Last time was 4 years ago and there was still a decent amount of older Macks and Autocars.
