  1. If its air asisted Check into what oynx left there on adjustment and I have seen the return springs break under the dash! If air assisted pay real big attention to the clutch brake adjustment procedure as these not set right can ruin a clutch brake in short order ! And the factory does not do a good job of setting them! its up to whom ever PDIs the truck to notice and adjust! Then adjust the air actuator to spec ! I also like easy pedal assume unit we try to keep people steered in that direction! How ever I heard the other day we sold and installed our first Road choice Clutch !!!!!! OH HAPPY Days! they will see how that goes!😱
  2. ahh maybe
  3. Bro if you look at the soot value there If you can believe the screen shot it looks to be working fine! just sayin!😐 These dam aftertreatment systems are a crap shoot to trouble shoot no real cut and dried tests bunch of parts changing BS!
  4. Just note that these sensors can be effected by dampness I believe they had us move the outlet sensor on several trucks further back away from the y pipe water coming down the stack! Just sayin!
  5. Joe Yup! If you can believe what is on the screen there 23 percent duty cycle dose then that 650 seems reasonable! a normal engine idles at 350 so if you add fuel at a low rate after the fact its going to bring the heat up some! And I will add that with all the trouble we have had with these sensors our guys always went there before first before starting at the front and working back! he should note too if he doesn't know already that once nox sensors are changed the lighting bolt will stay on till the computer has time to reevaluate after the learned dat reset! I was about to post the above ! however you added stuff! So do a learned data reset start an E service repair ticket and see if the Mack gurus can assist you bro! no point in beeting a dead horse !
  6. hmmm from what I have seen these are reasonable Look not bad ! duno what to tell ya! Was there any evidence of crystal buildup when they had the box off!?Thinking about a crack in the ash can! quite a common thing Also the nox sensors were chronic on these at one point they had a point where we had been changing them left right and center! You could throw sensors at it looks like they have thrown everything else at it! they could be out of parameter and I believe you must do a learned data reset!
  7. (make sure you got proper temp ) what temps are you seeing?
  8. Yup start at the other end! make sure you got proper temp ! Turbo spooling properly on regen ? Check turbo Effort possibly sticking ! fuel pressure OK? fuel dowser clean?Dpf sensor ports clear tubes clear? with this junk you need to work front to back ALMOST always! Just sayin
  9. Been my observation the Volvo front axle is one thing they got right quite trouble free! Definately check them!!!! how ever more common failure is draglink ends and tie rod ends!
  10. What could possibly go wrong!😅 the arm has some resistance but should move with too fingers!
  11. Piston protrusion would be effected!
  12. What was old is new again! This was done back in the day of the V8 and N14 I had no idea they did this with the E7 Thanx for posting that pro!
  13. YUP TOTALLY AGREE ! please post your FIXES GUYS! This helps others and everybody learns ! That is what its all about!
  14. This is where that keen eye comes in! It is very easy to be off one tooth one way or the other from my observation ! Our guys struggled with this more than once just sayin! Use that keen eye bud !
  15. That there is where you need to start in my opinion .good starting point Joe! the hole in the top may have also been a failed clutch brake at some point as well! seen this happen many times! one of the few things I have done on the red engines I have been in ivolved in physically and not a silent observer!
  16. these are ok for over the road use maybe, ok for in town for local delivery! My self after seeing them in action for a few years , wouldn't have them ! To hard to keep track of wear , wear out extremely fast in say a garbage packer situations we had a customer with a low bed he went back to drums ! The disc were good at holding the load back but in this application logging roads steep grades mud puddles tended to crack rotors the pads wore out extremely fast and were hella expensive to replace !
  17. You are a dedicated soul bro!
  18. Different engine, same concept. Good find buddy !
  19. Don't think he was implying to set the cat way Joe , how ever I agree hole heartedly !
  20. If the lightning bolt light is on, you can turn off the cruise control and press and hold the set/decel button to get the code. The lightning bolt will flash, pause, then flash some more. Count the number of flashes.
  21. Its a dogs breakfast!😡 but any help would be better than us trying to explain it! and its a crap shoot even when you have all the info ! you got to have the dog house out and a keen eye! to work in that area! shit show!
  22. ohwell Your a bit committed now ! move on see how it goes!
