  1. I would be inclined to investigate the pedestal relief valve and or the oil pump relief valve! Also check to make sure your oil level is not over full! Also make sure the oil pickup is sealed on the pump! (Not sucking air) A kind of related incident that happened to me! I was once tasked to I check on why a guys engine brake was working intermittently ! I removed the valve covers did all the necessary checks and sets there checked out the electrics all seemed good except the oil pressure was a bit off! ! So i decided to check is oil pump ! WEL I put a Drain pan under the truck and pulled the drain plug AND low and behold only two gallons of oil existed in the pan! I was fairly pissed at my self for not checking at the begining but you would think a guy would check his own oil level one a day! Guess not! JUST SAYIN!
  2. Yup model of truck would help ! CH or RD ? check the tube that goes to the compressor inlet from the manifold hose there quite often gets a hole in it! Any kind of boost leak! all will effect mileage! instantly!
  3. I struggle with the morality of this subject my self! Can you compare this to being forced to take a vacine for covid? seems similar in nature to me! ? The right to choose what happens to your body! Duno? Mortally In the eye of god this ain't right ! However in our a ledged" DEMOCATIC " society says otherwise for now! Don't know how to feel I disagree with abortion to a point How ever there are circumstances that would make sense to have the option ! Whole sale Abortion Volvo Style is not acceptable in my mind! Just sayin!
  4. Has the truck had the updates as MACP has suggested Get all that stuff up to date before messing with this much more! to much going on in the background to not be up to date! The other thing is the the 7th injector sobering or spraying?
  5. Its all in how you look at it ! and what your plans for the future are I suppose! I am of the mind if It ain't broke don't Fix it! Preventative maintenance is ok don't poke at stuff that's treating you good!
  6. your oil pressure is fine ! I have rolled bearings in these at 23000 hours and saw there was a need and not ! I have rolled bearings in these at 15000 hours and seen the need and not ! However I have also seen go a lot longer ! I have seen them fail sooner ! In my mind 20000 hours plus is a good time to do it providing you have looked after the servicing up to that point ! if your servicing is un known then for piece of mind do it now! the key with mos DIESEL engines is look after the DCA in the coolant And keep after the oil changes! just the way I see it!
  7. Rey bro you say the vgt past the test? There is / was a test in the ptt program for turbo effort did you try that ? The turbo can past the sweep test but still be sticking! Fuel pressure at the 7th injector OK? fine to have flow is the pressure there? Just some stuff our guys look for when we get issues like this!
  8. Yup REAL Good point! guys tend to migrate to that computer screen and get absorbed in whats there with out thinking about the simpler stuff! Start at the begining ! The instructions probably don't even mention that one!
  9. I would defiantly check this oil wicking is an issue with these !The engine harness is quite vulnerable to this! its a simple check that can save a lot of head scratching! if you find oil in the ecm spray it out with brake clean blow dri it and see if your problem is gone! and replace the harness ! thie check is simple the harness replace not so much! 🥵
  10. yes how ever physical changes will likley be needed making it cost prohibitive ! Programing ,Cam Key change, Turbo ,just o name of a few!
  11. Sorry this looks like no water pump housing I ever seen on an E9 Is this in a Boat? Auto Trans ? or something? What vehicle is it in? I see you are in Renault territory Not sure I can help! ttps://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=Z1Fxi8KW&id=A284ADA3D6B1231E9B990FFFCDE77FD80C8E8E78&thid=OIP.Z1Fxi8KW37WdpLAXD595CQAAAA&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2fi.ebayimg.com%2fimages%2fg%2fcaUAAOSwly9c9x5S%2fs-l400.jpg&cdnurl=https%3a%2f%2fth.bing.com%2fth%2fid%2fR.6751718bc296dfb59da4b0170f9f7909%3frik%3deI6ODNh%252f583%252fDw%26pid%3dImgRaw%26r%3d0&exph=300&expw=400&q=mack+e9+water+pump+housing&simid=608011195825916803&FORM=IRPRST&ck=606F19B116014CEA107ADD47672FB14E&selectedIndex=0&ajaxhist=0&ajaxserp=0
  12. The block is mostly maxed out as is ! 350 at most you try to pull more your poking a bear with a stick!
  13. Bro if your Truck is deleted we can't help Much! Could be anything!
  14. My experience is the same and ALL the same reasons. Specially the comment about the Billion mile truck drivers that have driven more miles backwards than the rest of us have driven forwards! everybody from time to time has jammed the clutch to the floor while the truck is in gear and rolling with out thinking! Putting grease on the brake as Joe mentioned takes the sting out some what, THE FUSE (good adage ) I learned the grease thing by the school of hard knocks put one in dri and test drove the truck panicked at a stop sign jammed it to the floor and that was that! Back to the shop for a new brake! My favorite two piece clutch brake in two pieces on the bottom of the bell housing since that day ALL BRAKES GET GREASE LOTS OF IT! not just a wipe I go a little over board how ever once burned twice shy And it hasn't failed me once since! this helps take the stupid out of the job at least for a while till the grease wares off! In some cases the air( assisted clutch levers) the drivers control is amplified making it IMPARITIVE You use Grease! Rambling
  15. Would cost extra money to stock Gray Paint ! Soon They will only come in green!
  16. YUP! I hate to admit this but! the last few Brake jobs I have done on my own vehicles have been with amazon ! Have had very good luck with this ! The fitment chart works well but the cars are relatively new late 2000's ! I Hate going to the parts store and trying to Talk to some kid that hasn't any experience ! AND Amazon Was hundred dollars cheaper for the same china parts!
  17. All I know is the thread on the injection lines in the head on E6 and E9 were fine thread as apposed to coarse metric on the E7 ! Just sayin!
  18. I believe the injection lines in the head are metric on E 7 Glenn may clarify!
  19. If you haven't already done so remove the cutch lever and free up the adjustment for the clutch brake adjustment! easy to do while the trans is out! sometimes not so easy with the trans in! Just sayin!
  20. Not always sneaky either ! Blatant ignorance is more common! Taking mp ten out Mack and leaving them with no big power to sell was a dummass ignorant move as well! It wouldn't surprise me if they pull Maxidyne as they are pushing the Mtrash trans all this comes down to EPA by the way Maxidyne does not fit the bill when it comes to Emission! the rpm target is small for emission engines hence lots of gears which the mtrash is limited also! We will see!
  21. IF IT DOES FIT? you still need to tie off that proboscis that the wires come out of or you will have a major screw up in short order! there is a bracket that comes with the conversion kit i believe you may have to make something!
  22. Yup cummins is a engine company they must be exempt ! Thank your lucky stars they don't build vehicles The engines are a big enough task for them! Volvo is bad enough !
  23. What does your oil pressure look like ? may need a new sensor or you may have a physical problem! coolant level OK? coolant temp OK?
