  1. The wires will be there and if they are shorted to each other, the computer would think it was in low range and hold back on fuel! No Codes Nothing ! cause all is normal in the Brain It would see nothing wrong with the situation!
  2. I'm leaning to a fuel or programing issue how ever the above should defiantly be checked! What computer type stuff if any do you have access to read codes and look at parameters are you able to get too! (Interested in switch status for torque limit and min max governor settings!) EUP The code is maxed out May help to change it However ! you should install the Cal code if you change it and for that you need a computer if you have the computer hooked up you may just as well look at perimeters! Just sayin!
  3. 😍 Yup Also check Fuel pressure If you can ! R.E.D Great Minds! 😄 Tank Vent as well ! do All the cheap and easy stuff first changing EUPs is a last thing! Boost sensor Ambient air sensor if it has one! All cheap and easy stuff among all the stuff Joe has suggested! Another thought check the Engine ECU Plug wires for coolant push! Unclip them and look inside!
  4. Lot of Case Here! John Deere some CAT AND A little JBC! Latley bobcat is stepping up ! And of coarse the China and Korean Stuff Dosan ect! Of Coarse the dealers snap up the machines and double the price ! Got to find a private sale some where! $40-50 grand for a 9000 hr machine that could have had a breaker attachment mounted to it for its whole life don't excite me much!
  5. Don't like skid steers wouldn't own one! To light for my intentions !Mini hoes are kind of in the same ball park too light! I need something i can move logs and dig stumps out with! as well as do the honey do stuff plant trees move rocks bla bla bla!
  6. I knew the history, so to me the purchase was easy.. exactly
  7. Thanx for your input Joe! The deal here is everyone is asking around 40-50000 for these so don't know how to feel ! I got a couple of customers that have just traded theirs last year they were tring to beat the next tier emissions! If I Had the cash at that point I would have saved them there tradin BS but weren't ready at that point! I would have got a Machine I would have had history on! Even if the hours were big! I would have felt safe cause I've had them work for me and knew they serviced shit!
  8. So Guys ! I'm looking for a used Backhoe to work on my property here ! Seeing alot of hoes being traded in @ about 9000 hours ! Mostly CASE Some DEERE Few CATS! Want a 4X4 so looking a construction type machine with 4 in one and quick change buckets! Is 9000 hrs the worn out number on hoes? Appreciate Thoughts here!
  9. Give us more info! Model of the truck and trans! Any fault light on? Changed fuel and air filters lately? Don't mean to be ignorant but you need to provide info to get info!
  10. Yup I reluctantly agree ! Love em or hate em the Volvo turds keep people working and have kept food on my table since the 2001 plus! The Mack brand has put food on my table for 40 plus years so I shouldnt bitch too loud that said ?I am now retired and Have more time to Bitch about stuff Now!ðŸĪĢ
  11. the trans is a Mack trans and is checked on the big plug right hand mid trans 3rd of the the way up the case same directions to fill as the diff!
  12. yup Dogs Breakfast! Not one of cats better Ideas!😜
  13. I have seen very few Cranks broken Maybe half dozen over the period of 45 years ! We had a V8 drive into the shop with the crank broken in half once ! Remarkable actually! , Seen several E6 cranks broke Damper issues Mainly! can't recall any E7 cranks breaking however I sure it happens! Ive heard The Cat 3408 V8 used to break Cranks on a regular basis ! That said ! is not an eye witness account !
  14. Absolutely ! Engineering is the left hand , Us people on the floor are the right hand ! The left hand and the right hand are separated by a big Cement wall ! The leftys never get to see what the rightys have to do to fix their F ups! Rightys re invent the wheel more than they will ever know!
  15. And the Volvo? just sayin!
  16. Buddy You already 😍 ARE! 😀
  17. MP ! I guess I got to say is why would they make it easy ? Nothing they do on the maintenance side is easy! CAN'T MAKE MONEY WITH EASY! And besides that was a Good Mack design feature Can't use any of them good Mack Ideas! The list is long the good ideas they chucked out when they took over . example First one being the centra max offered for a 1/2 year on MP7, engine mounts ( changed any of these lately )? cheep and simple as it gets!, As for the Cab R/D They will morph the Volvo Cab And put a redesigned different looking hood on it just like they did with GMC AND the others , put a bulldog on the hood, put some puppy markings on it, install doggy print floor mats in it , call it a Mack! that will be the only easy stuff they will do! Will see! This day has been coming for a long time! Way longer than I ever anticipated! and it still ain't here yet however it is inevitable!
  18. Yup! Lets all join in on the High Waste society Everyone! Keep the economy going! 😄 Chihuahua Power!
  19. MP ! You are in my opinion correct ! That said its been 20 years ! How ever it lasted longer than I predicted ! If it happens !This is now the total end of the Mack !The last shred of the truck we grew up with! It was inevitable ! The completion of the cycle of Volvo evolution as was done with Gmc /White and all the others that were taken over by the evil empire ! THE BORG of the truck manufacturer industry ðŸĪĢ ! When will the Empire Strike back! Put A Chihuahua on the hood were Done! YOU HAVE NOW BEEN ASIMULATED !ðŸĪŠ
  20. If it has an engine brake Pull the relays and try a start! One of our guys had this happen just the other day! Give it a shot!
  21. Good call on your part ! If it ain't broke don't fix it! you can always address it later IF there is a problem! If its not grinding on the range its good to go I do recommend replacing the oil thou ! This is a place wear operators tend to neglect and in the case of this trans its rather important I beleive the property's of the oil change over time ! Fresh oil once a year or two maintains This!
  22. Agree with the above Don't let them touch the dam Trany till your diff is repaired! AND MAYBE never again ! Sounds like an up sell to me! For no good reason! Just my opinion!
  23. usually this is caused by a blown gasket! Turbo base gasket or exhaust gasket Happens when the EGR valve closes!
  24. I am retired now ! However as Joe mention located behind the def tank low side ! The wiring on these is a always suspect quite often we had found breaks in the cluster of wire near the tank ! That said the sensors were also a pain usually had to be replaced as a pair for out of parameter codes ! NOT NO COMUNICATION codes!
