  1. Nope same old same old! Surprisingly enough the dollar store HP common rail seems to work fine ! Time will tell! C how it goes!
  2. Just asking for feed back purposes! We have quite a few running in our area now with few problems so far We have a small glitch with one running rough at the moment interment issue we think maybe a fuel rail regulator may have connection problem, the plug looks iffy ,Not throwing up codes But we have heard rumors! They have lots of stock on the little harness and the solenoid could be a good thing maybe a bad thing ! Any words? Kind or otherwise! 😅
  3. Agree with K I think the Allison in stop and go traffic makes more sense ! Also agree ! The transmissions have been quite reliable! HOW EVER Food For Thought, bend over when it comes time to do the clutch ! (Of which You have no control over ) It does what it is told! When doing a Clutch job on M Drive Be prepared to replace the fly wheel the internal clutch release as well as the clutch AT almost three times the cost of doing a normal Eaton Clutch ( Which You DO have Control over) and how much it Gets used and is adjustable ! There are reasons why M/V are pushing these Trans on the masses and one of those reasons is THEY GOTCHA ! Captivation is good for the bottom line ! GOOD BUSINESS ! Just sayin!
  4. Yup !They smile Knowingly as they hand you the bill! If you don't like our old truck parts pricing! Could we interest you in buying a new truck instead!😂
  5. Trump’s proposed freeze would result in 500,000 barrels per day more oil consumption by the year 2030. California says the proposal “would worsen air quality for the most vulnerable (and) waste billions of gallons of gasoline.” They talk about wasting fuel , Were already doing it! We probably burn billions of dollars of fuel doing regens over and over tryng to correct the emission related problems created by this crap they bolt on the side of our new vehicles !
  6. The two most common as mentioned are the cups and egr cooler! Start at the cooler and work back remove the outlet of the egr hose lower front and check for dampness in the cooler! check the surge tank as mentioned however that should have showed up before now!
  7. Quite honestly its not that much trouble in this model of truck to raise the engine But I agree ,if you have an idea your going to have to replace the u pipe or going anywhere near that EGR valve we all know what that leads too! By all means go the long way around ! Just offering up an alternate method that can work under the right circumstances! its worth a go! you can save (your self), your boss, /your customer / time and money thrown at labor and parts in some situations !
  8. Maybe Air in fuel? Fuel pump failing ? Check preasure
  9. We have been using 15/40 with no issues for 10 years right up till this last year ! 10/30 is just starting to be more popular!
  10. what he said!😡
  11. Is this a Robert bosch or american bosch pump!??? If its american there is some shims you can mess with a bit on the little round cover on the back 4 bolts! However your pump shop should have done this!😡 Also make sure that your spring loaded throttle lever is not causing, this a little wear on the lever can make the difference! check this first!
  12. Yup snap it up! If ya need rebuild parts the place to buy in my opinion is these Guys good warranty good service! https://www.paiindustries.com/catalog/figurelistPartSearch.php
  13. OHH YA! AND IT'S A PETE! 😍😘🙄 A real mans truck!🙄
  14. Yup good call Tech ! The grounds and connections at the block and starter are a good place to go as those could have weakened that first relay to start with !👍
  15. So with out a power divider ( lock out ) which people get mixed up on alot, you wouldn't be able to nail down if it is a power divider or not with out taking the unit apart ! if the tires are un even it makes the power divider work harder and has it constantly Turning and adjusting position if it has a worn spot on the cams inside or a broken wedge these can all cause clunks and noises !with the power divider lock out you can lock the power divider out and join both diffs together as a test ! and the unit is out of the picture ! with out it your guessing! Something I would look for Is Broken or slipping wheels ! Spoke wheels can slip and if your running STEEL buds the inner wheel can be cracked an you won't see it!
  16. I think it will be a lot of Farting around to change to the big relay! ! I would buy one more relay and start by changing it out one at a time with the relays in that group. tryng it for a couple of days at a time till you have tried going thru the all of them! Also Is it possible you have a bad ignition switch?
  17. Open a new work order for the Parts repair send it to Mack see how it goes! Never know you might get something out of it Year warranty on parts HA HA! same with the brake valve we just did R and R coolant remove hoses and pipes bla bla bla! 2 hr turn around for a dollarstore valve ! Could of Spent more hours chasing on that too however I Heard the sound before Ran in to it before on an MP10 It Took a little convincing, how ever the guy that was doing the job finally thought it thru , because he was all set to start checking wiring again and we had already been all thru that!
  18. Should have mentioned ! ( MP8 )This method has been tried and worked for us so far on GU chassis none of the above needs removing just the turbo drain and a few hose clamps and brackets beneath the turbo! lifting the engine high enough for the cooler to clear the frame and shock bracket and bottom of the turbo! As for a CX/CH haven't done or seen it done so can't say will post more when its tried As mentioned lots of shit in the way fan shroud coolant tank bla bla bla ! so time will tell if we get to try another chassis will post !Others here have obviously tried it I guess it must work for those as well not sure !
  19. I Spouse! Ain't right thou, BS ! can't be checking everything they send us! In this case its an easy check sure! We been lock tighting the bolts on the reman diffs as of late Because we have so much trouble with the Single bolt coming loose on the Clamp plate!
  20. NICE Got A V8 In that puppy Kevin?
  21. In my opinion if you're going to by a new unit, you need to check out where your best service is going to be! Because your going to need it! Very seldom do the new units run trouble free for a year!
  22. Sounds like your focused thou! You don't have to worry the trans will look after things for you! Just put your feet up and the dash and focus!
  23. The raising of the engine works well. And saves time and take broken turbo bolts out of the equation.
  24. Yes But Out THE box? Sorry But I don't believe ,I /we should have to take a" new" out of the box valve apart to make the son of a bitch work! Just sayin!
