A sledge hammer to the brake drum usually loosens them up for removal. I have pulled the complete hub and pressed them out. As far as your blue smoke question I'm not sure it's valve seals could be setting on pump would clear that up. Sent from my SM-G386W using Tapatalk

I've had problems with getting correct line before. I have original motor in truck but the line I got from Mack was slightly different. I think if you remove line you should have a part # on where it attaches to pump or fuel delivery nozzle. Hopefully this helps. I have a few miscellaneous lines here if you can't find anything.
