  1. Stayed in Galloway and went to AC, Ocean City, Wildwood, and drove to Cape May to check it out.
  2. Best wishes to your son for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
  3. Oh dear God is right! That's quite a task you've taken on. Best of luck and I hope you can survive long enough to make a difference, one junk truck and incompetent driver at a time.
  4. Beat me too it. I don't think it's a bicentennial, maybe just wannabe. I've seen plenty of brochures and a few on the road, but never a flat-roof cabover.
  5. A scare like yours can really put things in perspective. Where are you vacationing? We just got home today after a few days each in NYC, Long Island, and south Jersey. Yeah, we hit some beaches.
  6. Back when I was drinking there were times when two thumbs was all I could get up.
  7. Not all wimmin, just Nuns.
  8. Absolutely beautiful truck, Ernie! I think I mentioned this company in the past but M. Levin used to have a place in Rosenhayn and they had 3 Brockway cabovers. 2 had Detroits and the 3rd had a Cat or Cummins. They were blue with a white stripe.
  9. Thanks for sharing the photos. I visited the makeshift memorial a few years ago which was quite an experience.
  10. I see Winfall has a McDonald's next to the train station. Oops, I thought I saw golden arches. I'd still eat there, though.
  11. It looks like you had a very nice visit, Vlad. Thank you for sharing the photos. You visited many places that I would like to visit when I have time.
  12. Nice turnout and variety of trucks. Thanks for sharing!
  13. I got's me sum stop-by pictures: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Ragman517/library/#/user/Ragman517/library/Williams%20Lumber?sort=3&page=1&_suid=13726424392920052732182084580914
  14. Yep, the family's name was Gillette.
  15. I guess IIya will be returning to the states some time in the future now that he knows that ALL American women look like that. ..and ruined it for the rest of us assholes.
  16. Happy Birthday! I remember when I turned 20......nah, just kidding.
  17. Thanks and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads on here.
  18. The GPS programmers need to include the phrase "You can't get there from here" into when asked for directions between certain locations in PA. That's a common phrase around here. I had 5 skids of fireworks on a load home from Harrisburg last week and had to run 322 & 22 because I was placarded for Explosives which are forbidden in the Turnpike tunnels. I would consider that a "beginners" route compared to some of the other roads over the mountains but the 25 miles or so it adds to the run takes an additional 45-50 minutes.
  19. Thanks for sharing so many detailed pics for those of us that couldn't make it.
  20. Very nice pictures. The Transtar has the raised cab-A 903 Cummins maybe?
  21. The pics are spectacular, as always. I'll return the goats to the hill when mating season is over.
  22. In the mid 70's they had no specific company livery. The Marmons were two-tone blue (the V12), maroon and grey, and 2 were brown and tan and had the same stripes with the colors reversed. The only other trucks I recall were a red and white KW, a two-tone green Pete, and a blue R model daycab. They were on the west side of 17, just north of the truck stop.
