  1. Is that the mountain that's visible when heading north on I-77 out of Charlotte? BTW, nice cherries.
  2. Whatever is in your system should be gone by tomorrow afternoon. Have a safe trip.
  3. When it first started with 1/4 turn of the flywheel I said to myself "you gotta be fuc#!n* kidding me", and then there was this echo coming from the video. Sounds good. Do you know what hp rating is for the engine or did I miss that somewhere?
  4. That's more than I had when I was 13 have now.
  5. Excellent. Thanks for the update.
  6. Cheap, but compassionate. Not very many daycab fleets in the northeast were sporting rooftop a/c units back then. It seems that most of theirs had them, BTW, nice find.
  7. Must've been one helluva jacknife.
  8. That's also my experience with older Macks. I used to float the downshift from 5th to 4th but everything else was with the clutch. I've since developed some funky half-clutch thing where I clutch out and float in. Don't ask. With the Fullers I float except for certain circumstances where double clutching would work best, such as when starting on a hill.
  9. I think if you were to back off on the chrome and swap out the standard headlight buckets for the ones off the Harley-Davidson model, you could have a decent, vintage looking truck.
  10. If it were to come here it would be pretty neat if it had Dodge badges on it. The instrument panel looks very much like a video game.
  11. One of those 600 hp K-series' were on either Ebay or TruckPaper a while back.
  12. There used to be one of that style parked in front of a house on Rt 14, west of Harrington. I haven't been that way since 2008, however.
  13. Congratulations! Looking forward to the pics and videos.
  14. Try grabbing that shot in one of today's trucks and you'll have a nice pic of a seat cushion.
  15. Defazio's trucks would stand out even on a rainy day. I used to see them quite often on The BQE and the Triborough Bridge.
  16. Oh thank God, she's horrible. Is there a back story on this?
  17. East Liverpool, Ohio! That's where The Beatles are from! Someone in a Jeep needs to keep their eyes on the road and off the hitchhikers.
  18. That's a whole lotta class stuffed into one photo.
  19. Any specifics on what we are looking at in this photo? I thought that was you behind me. I was on my way from Pittsburgh to Cleveland and figgered I must've missed the ramp for the Ohio Turnpike so I was looking for a place to turn around.
  20. Looks to be in nice shape. I hope the motel staff thought to check the license plate against their registration records. Eight years is an awful long stay at a Super 8. Quit showing your ignorance, guys. Everyone knows the plural of fish is feesh. Truck Drivers...
  21. My first prostate exam was done by a female doctor. I was 38 years old and I'm embarrased to say that I didn't know it was necessary to sneak up on the prostate from behind to examine it. The doctor appeared to be few years older than me so I didn't give it a second though. Then she explained about having to have a witnesss a called her receptionist in,a cute girl prolly in her mid-20's. Not one of my best moments. Oh well. Glad you passed and they cut you some slack until your bp came down.
  22. It sure is nice to be able to glance left or right to view the mirrror instead of turning your head a full 90 degrees as on older vehicles. GMC had forward mounted mirrors on the early Astros, but they slowly disappeared in favor of the standard west coast style.
  23. My Dad said he and his friends would see a Crosley at a traffic light and run over and lift it by the rear bumper so the wheels would just spin when the driver accelerated. I wasn't completely sold on that until I saw the car for the first time.
  24. Thank You!
  25. I've never had the desire drive with no air in the seat but have tried it to see what all the fuss is about. I don't know why anyone would want to do that. I work with a few drivers that ride low, but they say it's because the don't like the movement of the seat. Personally, I set the adjustments for the most comfort and benefits the seat has to offer. I like being able to drive for several hours and jump out of the truck feeling like I'd only been sitting for a few minutes. That same trip with no air in the seat and I'd need a walker when I got out. I don't get the low rider look either. Practicality should be first priority but as you said, to each his own. I do appreciate the work that goes into these modifications, even if I don't care much for the final product.
