  1. It's not to late to do so, for the sake of research.
  2. Gone. Someone dropped a Walgreen's on top of it.
  3. I've heard that's quite common. A win for the company whether the lessee succeeds or not.
  4. I know the web site your referring to but can't come up with the name. I tried google-ing VS and after spending 3 hours on the Victoria's Secret site, I got nuthin'.
  5. I believe the steel haulers that were leased to "Special Commodities" divisions of freight companies back then had a 2 check system. Either way, what Mr. Celli did for his drivers is a far cry from today's LP scams.
  6. I park away from everyone else to prevent door dings. That's an '13 Pinnacle with a 10 speed and aluminumminum rims all around. They'll be trashed before long. I assumed they were pleased with the Mdrives, not sure why they ordered these with Fuller manuals. You should've given that girl a ride to Gladys. She forgot her boobies at home. I haven't driven a sleeper equipped truck in 11 years. I could prolly do some serious damage to my ego and someone elses property if I were to try to blindside at this point.
  7. It's hard to believe I used to hate that sound. The owner is from Welland, or thereabouts.
  8. Not in this lifetime. He's ruined his chances.
  9. Nice pics. I thought it was you but didn't think you were from OH. Boll Weevil.
  10. Happy Birthday! I can't believe that dumb broad ruined your cake. If you ever see her thumbing a ride, DON'T STOP!
  11. Those IH's were part of the landscape 60's and 70's. Nice classic to start a collection with.
  12. We've had lots of problems with the turbo clamps on our '04-'07 Visions. I drove one when I ran the city and always had a spare with me (after that first time). I never would've thought the heavy-duty zip ties would hold up.
  13. The dancing girls are holding the reefers back. They'll get him on the down side when the line dance moves toward the front on the trailer.
  14. Nice work. Love the paint and stripes.
  15. Nah, no resemblence whatsoever ......... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-PETERBILT-353-TRUCK-HISTORY-PHOTO-SPEC-SHEET-/230665609390
  16. They started letting guys like me have CDL's. I've always liked the Generals and Astros but my only experience with either was riding for one day in a beat to death Astro which was a Ryder rental. Stiil a nice truck with a design that was ahead of it's time. 17. I used to deliver to VAP 11-12 years ago. I figured that, at the very least, the name would've changed by now. Pittsburgh to Bedford: beautiful drive if your nort pressed for time. The Winfall McDonalds sign looks to be in pretty good shape for a restaurant that claims to have served billions of customers.
  18. Congratulations! You might not get rich as an O/O, but you can't put a price on your happiness. That's why I take a power nap every 5000 miles.
  19. Glad to hear you didn't have a reoccurance. Get well soon!
  20. It just keeps getting better! Hopefully I can get home from work and grab a shower, maybe a quick nap, and be there by late morning.
  21. Have a safe and happy Easter! You should find someone to clean that windshield.
  22. Happy Birthday!
  23. I've made 2 trips across the hills on the PA Turnpike with gross weights in the 50-60k range. I was very impressed with the smothness of the tranny and the pulling power of the MP7-395. I also thought it worked very well in slow maneuvers. We haul LTL freight in vans and the only complaint I've heard is that it it's a little rough when hauling liquid totes. it cannot shift with the surge the way a driver with a manual trans can.
  24. Beautiful scenery. The snow looks great from a distance. Were those first coils picked up at Value Added Processing? Looks like a much needed bridge is under construction to make the trip between Route 30 and Keystone Commons a bit easier. Assuming the layout hasn't changed, there should be a driveway located behind where you were standing when you took the bridge pic which will take you back to the gate. The building that driveway runs along side of was the filming location of the infamous pit scene is "The Silence of the Lambs". You must've driven past my Uncle's house on Route 30 in Laughlintown. The first major eastbound climb begins in front of his house. It would be a mighty cold day before I let that Winfall barber near me with a sharp object, such as a pair of scissors or a glass cutters. Those window-cleaning transients use dirty rags and your windshield ends up worse than it was. You did the right thing.
