  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. The blue Freightliners with the alcoa steer rims are what I remember most about their equipment but in the later years they traded the blue for white and dropped the shiny wheels. I thinking they also ran Louisville Fords in the same era as the U model.
  3. Looks like they used the NYPD livery from that era.
  4. Here are a couple of discussions on the subject. I believe this was also a topic of debate on "The McLaughlin Group" but I can't seem to locate a video. http://www.differencebetween.com/difference-between-sauce-and-vs-gravy/ https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070104230539AA37D5C
  5. Nice job for a non-eyetalian. My Grandmother was from Florence ( Italy, not NJ) and everyone on that side of the family called the red stuff sauce. Then again, maybe they just trying to sound American. I personally have no idea what makes a gravy a gravy and a sauce a sauce.
  6. The 18" or so they added to the hood did wonders to make a city truck look like otr truck. The 8V92 must be a repower as that engine wasn't introduced until around '75 or so. It likely came with an 8V71 Driptroit.
  7. Bring it!
  8. Looks great! Your arms won't hurt until you stop.
  9. Very impressive operations, but I must say that Ken's hay looks the tastiest.
  10. I prefer to be recognised by getting a days pay for not working. Lord knows employers will make up for it throughout the year.
  11. That's the Grateful Dead, my personal favorite of the many Frisco-based bands of that era.
  12. I think this would be what is known as " a good day". A fun, safe holiday to all!
  13. You must be doing a lot to please yourself to be rewarded will all these gifts.
  14. Prolly not enough time to visit the Haight -Ashbury district. Have a nice trip!
  15. Looks great and groceries are way overrated. You did the right thing.
  16. Good to hear from you again! Just to drive the point home-slow the hell down and take care of yourself! They say laughter is the best medicine, which would make you a Doctor on BMT, but we'll see what we can do. We will need to see you an a VERY regular basis, however.
  17. The Wiki on this site has some great info. Here's a link to the B model/engine data PDF. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/tutorials/article/12-b-model-engine-data/
  18. Beautiful landscape, good looking GIC's, a real trucker who is not afraid to get dirty and shed some blood to save a road call, Macks, Diamond Reos, and some dumbass broad taking distracted driving to a new level. Viewing these pictures has been an emotional roller coaster for me. Keep 'em coming.
  19. Very interesting collection of trucks.
  20. We are fortunate to live in an era when going back in time is just a few "mouse clicks" away. And thankfully, no matter how much trucks may change in appearance over the years, boobies stay the same.
  21. I'll bet that if they did have GPS they wouldn't be trying to stuff these trucks under 11'6" overpasses. That'll leave a mark.
  22. That's one helluva detailed description. It's almost as if I was there!
  23. You made a kid's day and at the same time, crossed something off your bucket list. It was a good day.
