  1. I've also seen a White, a Marmon, a Ford, a Freightliner, and a Pete. Christ truly does love all.
  2. Gotta give the seller credit for trying to be as open and honest as possible with all those pics.
  3. I have seen the name on flatbed rigs from time to time, but I'm not sure how long it's been since the last sighting.
  4. Nice! I'm sure it spent some time behind a Freightliner cabover. A pretty sharp combo way back when.
  5. You better lock it at the truck shows from now on. If not you might find a big hole in your mattress and me at the first aid station with a spring lodged in the roof of my mouth.
  6. Sure you will. And I doubt it will be any harder to get than ammo.
  7. The interior looks great also. The original color would've been green like the steering wheel but it looks like whomever painted it did a nice job.
  8. I have used dryer sheets in the past and they either work or it's a coincidence that the problem stopped around the same time. I thought it was the perfume scent but your little buddies don't seem to mind. My question is: What the hell have you done on that mattress that the mice won't touch it? Whatever it was (no need for details) you need to do it all over the truck, no matter how long it might take, because apparently it works.
  9. Great history and sad reminder of what this country used to be. Maybe you got he ball rolling for this to evolve into the "Cars, Trucks, and Coffee" show.
  10. I agree that some of this is a result of new emissions forcing some carriers into new equipment as well as a dwindling supply of good pre-DPF trucks. I didn't think you guys ran anything old but some time in recent months I saw an older Volvo with a red frame, which I believe would be an ex-AF or ex-Watkins.
  11. Looks like it was great show. I like the "come as you are" theme-makes you feel as if you actually went back in time. I'll bet the BCR would get at least as much attention as the B if everyone knew what they were looking at
  12. Yeah. I guess in a perfect world old truck parts would continue to be made long after the models are discontinued. Then again in a perfect world we would have all this emissions crap turning good trucks into bad ones.
  13. As you can see I got over it rather quickly.
  14. Welcome! Is there a story behind this truck?
  15. Nice save on the R model but if you buy something to haul home each trip it could affect your profitability.
  16. As much as I enjoy driving a '14 Pinnacle, a company that ran well maintained, older equipment would have an advantage over other carriers if I were job hunting. That's what attracted me to Shuster's at the time.
  17. Welcome! Any pics of your CH?
  18. How insensitive of you to post that on the same page as the photo of Screw them pigs, that looks yummy!
  19. Welcome! You are the exact opposite of me. I've had the bug since the early 70's and have owned zero Macks to date. I like your plan better. Love the R700 and would also like to know the model number(i.e. R795, R773, etc).
  20. I think it was the gripping description of the repair process that got me all hot and bothered. Your barn is safe. I thought I recognized her. She was the Milton Bradley Twister champ in 1969. She could do a left hand blue/ right leg red combo that would make (edit: the hair on the back of your neck) stand at attention!
  21. Is a Vision considered new for PE Kramme or were you making a funny?
  22. I've always found that interesting but never heard why they did that. At least the Mack guys aren't using the cruise control while they go back the sleeper to grab a thermos or pack of smokes.
  23. The blue Mack looks great. I take it the happy passengers don't know where the ride will take them.
  24. Yes, I remember your story. You were a virgin, IIRC.
  25. Nice collection of Macks this time out but I really like the K100 with the SS reefer. I needed a cigarette after reading about the pole repair, and I don't even smoke. Now I'm going to have to wait a few hours to full appreciate the wimmin pictures.
