  1. I see a beautiful truck surrounded by this year's pay raise. I don't know about ECM, but the initial order for the red flavor is only 80 this year. I hope they bump that up since we're growing at a good rate and still run a bunch of older equipment. Interesting that they have a one piece windshield. Two piece seems like the more economical choice since 99% of breakage occurs to the left or right of center. Ironically, when ECM was running IH 9400's (prior to Pitt Ohio ownership), they were the first that I'd seen with two piece windshields when most of the 2000 model year and up had a one piece.
  2. A friend of mine and I went to the same Doctor to have our vasectomies, one month apart. We can personally vouch for his 50% success rate. I'm happy to say that I visited him on his "good" day.
  3. Thanks for sharing your pics. I'm still as impressed with the sights in DC as I was as a kid. The history and beautiful architecture will always be, despite whomever is living in the White House. That's a dude? I'll take your word for it 'cause I sure ain't clicking on it.
  4. "Pennsylvania Welcomes You". You're damn right!
  5. I thought the same thing but I can't see any ghost lettering for IT. A cabover.
  6. Seek out the latest edition of "Pictures Of The Week" by William Thomas Blackwell. If that don't get you going, consider yourself "retired". My Wife I appreciate that others are concerned about my ability to perform on the kitchen counter hood of the car coffee table in the bedroom, but this ain't the place to be pushing that stuff.
  7. Happy Birthday!
  8. "Jenny" and "Block" are pushing Viagra on various threads. The authorities have been notified.
  9. You just made it under the wire. Happy Easter!
  10. The regional chains have them but I asked at Wal*Mart and the "baker" had no clue what I was talking about. Many people have only heard of them because that was the name of the first song they were taught when learning to play the recorder in elementary school music class.
  11. Another possibility would depend on whether or not the aftermarket sleepers had their own a/c units back then. If not, the factory a/c may not been powerful enough to sufficiently cool the bunk. The Kysor on the other hand could have a duct running to the sleeper, plus it had the advantage of being mounted on the ceiling so the cool air is going to fall naturally, needing less help from the fan. That might explain why we often times think alike, but you're so much better looking.
  12. This is not a good time to be caught without "likes". That picture belongs on the ceiling over the bed.
  13. Interesting how some people, not knowing a thing about what they have, will take a classic like this a scrap it while others will price like it's a Faberge egg.
  14. In the early days of the Maxidyne, Overdrive did a comparison test with two F models pulling identical loads. one truck was equipped with a 250 Cummins and a 10 speed RR, the other with a 237 and a 5 speed. Natutrally the 237 walked away from the Cummins on the hills. Maybe Cummins should have brought a 335 to the party. Anyway, they mention the lack of a muffler and said there was a sticker (or plate or something) that read "turbo muffler" that could be applied near the exhaust manifold that would satisfy the authorities. This is the first mention I've heard of this in a long time.
  15. Holy Cow! I missed this the first time and that cost me all of my "likes" this time around. The "Flintstone style" hood looks soooo much better than the steel hood used on the RD 800.
  16. That's funny that he went so far as to apologize for the bumper. He should make the kid put the old one back then beat him with the one that's on there now.
  17. I guess we'll find out eventually. Talk about a dream job! There's a "fire truck guy" in Hellertown who is quite passionate toward the Mack brand but the fact that some came from the factory with 71 and 92 series Detroit Diesels might impact his ability to give 100%.
  18. Here ya go: http://www.advertigo.net/advertisement-id-356737-1972MACKTRUCKRL700LNEEDSRESTORATIONDOESNOTRUN.htm
  19. I'd steer clear of anything that looks remotely like a hot dog at that place.
  20. Beautiful! Best of luck with it.
  21. Maybe you should offer some incentives to get drivers to go hundreds of miles out of their way. Massages and moustache rides are 2 things to consider.
  22. It could be a 7 speed if it has a splitter.
