  1. I plan on being there but it all depends on what time I finish work that morning. My Wife and I always go to the shows together, so I'll be driving her.
  2. Looks excellent! I'd slap Olivetroad if he wasn't so derned far way. It could've easily one first place, with the right judges. I like the non-Turbo Wing look myself.
  3. I lived in New Cassel as an infant. My Grandmother, an Italian immigrant, lived (and died of natural causes) in an apartment there and my parents also had a place in the same house. I heard the neighborhood improved immediately after we moved out.
  4. Thirds are up for grabs, I want filthy fourths. Happy Birthday!
  5. I've pulled the throttle knob out on the R models I've driven just to take a short break on a long trip. It's not something you want to forget about until you try to slow down. The '67 White Freightliner my Dad drove had a setup similar to the one above, but it appeared to be from the factory.
  6. I tried that once. It cost a helluva lot more than $1.99 and the shaft returned to it's original length.
  7. Someone must've hit it big in Vegas to afford cab fare back to CT. The RL looks great. It must be quite comforting for Roy's family to know that it will continue to be well cared for and will probably outlast it's new owner, especially if he doesn't straighten up and quit buying stuff.
  8. Good idea since that worked out so well for you the last time you did it.
  9. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life wondering "what if?". Go for it! Your death will not be in vain!
  10. Thanks. I knew I had seen it somewhere 'round here.
  11. I neglected to look at he photos on the tank of the military truck, which probably included some interesting info.
  12. Some mo' truck show pics from today. I'm not sure why, but I've always had a soft spot for these ugly bastards.
  13. Glad you like them. This is a relatively small show each year, but what it lacks in numbers is always made up for in content.
  14. The show was held at New Stanton (PA) Mack. Here's a pic of a wrecker that was on the lot and a few Granites. I didn't see any Titans.
  15. Went to show, took pics of trucks. This is a B85 that was restored by my former boss, Anthony Shuster. It now has a new owner. An R700 with a ENDT866.
  16. Seminole is KW's name for it, but I'm not sure if the other manufacturers have a different name for it. I've always thought of it as a KW paint scheme because I've seen it on them more than any other truck and it appears to have been designed to fit the name emblem in the notch on the sides of the hood. I don't think A is an official moniker given to the early models by KW. The second generation, which was introduced in '83 or '84, is known as the W900B, but I believe A was given to the early model by truck fans to distinguish it from the B and it caught on.
  17. Your computer knows when you truly unlike a reply and will automatically provide the button as needed. That's why the "Love" button appeared on our screen below my tranny comment. Scary shit, but somehow it just knows.
  18. I hope so. He's going to need more than just the straight Republican and anti-Obama votes to get in. It's time to get to work.
  19. I passed by you four times between approx 9:30pm Thurs and 5:00am Fri. Had I known I would've stopped by.
  20. You people make me sick.
  21. I was certain I had found it but when I showed Mrs Dash the picture, she smacked me in the head and yelled "not there you idiot, it's higher up." I fell asleep after that.
  22. Excellent. Thanks for sharing that.
  23. I just looked on Google maps. The station I worked at is still a Mobil and is located adjacent to the eastbound LIE off ramp. The McD's is down the road, directly across from the diner. On street view, there are some nice shots of a Hillwick Peterbilt pulling a dump and an obstructed view of what might be an RD tractor. It's good to see that area is still relatively undeveloped compared to other places that I no longer recognise. I went to the Game Farm on a field trip in elementary school. I was feeding crackers to a llama when it coughed at me. So there I am picking out cracker crumbs that had been imbedded in my neck and this animal is just staring at me, while still chewing, with that goofy llama look on it's face. I've had it in for those things ever since.
