  1. I don't remember what we were discussing, but I'm certain I had the exact same conversation with my friends some 35-40 years ago. Good to hear you're making some progress. I don't think my young heart could've handled the excitement if I were in your situation when I was 12.
  2. I thought I had, but it didn't seem familiar when I lookeed it up on the imdb. Mrs. Dash probably has it in her dvd collection, but it may take weeks to locate.
  3. The wheels are turned to the right. As soon as he backs up, you'll have a bottom view.
  4. In 1969, a singer named Oliver had a hit single with the song "Good Morning Starshine". Here are some of the lyrics: Gliddy glub gloopy Nibby nabby noopy La la la lo lo Sabba sibby sabba Nooby abba nabba Le le lo lo Tooby ooby walla Nooby abba naba Early morning singing song ...and we haven't heard from Oliver since. Yeah but I liked it. That moves me up to the front of the line.
  5. Oh, the standard version ain't good enough, you want the dee-luxe model.
  6. Depending on where they looked on here, they may not have realized this was a Mack truck discussion forum.
  7. It's good to see further improvements being made to an already great looking truck, a G model no less. I scraped all that nasty grease off my fifth wheel. It will sometimes get stuck while turning and I have to drop the trailer, straighten out the tractor, and re-hook. It sucks doing that in the middle of an intersection, but that fifth wheel looks sharp for that 1/10 mile I bobtail around the yard every night.
  8. My Mom would whisper "you will never be cool" to me while I was still in the womb. My life has been stress free.
  9. I've noticed that many homes in rural areas have a rural look about them. What gives?
  10. Man poem brought a tear to my eye.
  11. We were posting at the same time. I remember things seeming more fun back then, but I was just a teenager so maybe I just didn't know any better. If this were 35-40 years ago, I would definitely give running my own truck a try, but I wouldn't consider it today.
  12. Would you mind telling how many miles that first run was? My Dad was an O/O back then and while he wasn't the most business savvy person I've met, he did well because he was able to get a good rate 99% of the time. He went all out and paid $5000 for a '70 Diamond Reo.
  13. Some of the content on BMT can prove harmful to folks of all ages. if you search "induce vomiting" on Google images, the number one result will lead you back here.
  14. What a coincidence! My first stereo was a Sansui! Do you have any relatives in Japan?
  15. Welcome. I don't recall seeing many H's on the road in the 80's. Were you an independant?
  16. Uh oh, it's happening again. The U model Mack is the (slightly left of) center of the universe. It's only natural that any topic of conversation will eventually lead to the offset phenomenon.
  17. No reason to feel intimidated by that word. Allow me to help: ir·ri·ga·tion    /ˌɪrɪˈgeɪʃən/ irrigated. 1. the artificial application of water to land to assist in the production of crops. 2. Medicine/Medical . the flushing or washing out of anything with water or other liquid. 3. the state of being irrigated.
  18. I've never seen an American version of this same competition. I enjoyed it for it's comedic value so truck brands were irrelevant. I also think the British accents somehow add a bit to the humor.
  19. Tom prefers orgasmic vegetables, irrigation must come from a natural source.
  20. You put a bit more thought into your user name than I did for mine. I wanted something Mack related but wanted to leave the good names for the big-timers that had yet to join BMT. perhaps I should've given it more time. My other choices were Boll Weevil, which was my Dad's cb handle since the early 60's but was already taken, and Ragman. I was working for the aforementioned Cintas when Al Gore gave the world the gift of the interweb and Ragman was a nickname given to be by several customers who saw me on a weekly basis, but never noticed my name was on all my shirts and jackets.
  21. I spend a lot of time thinking these thing through.....A LOT OF TIME.......
  22. By then he would've rolled the truck onto it's left side and the disoriented buzzard would be trying to escape through the floor.
