  1. OK!! I follow what you are doing... My mind had the flat washer on top..
  2. Will you need to countersink them to prevent snags????
  3. Dean, I am NOT going to make Cherokee..But will be in Colfax the next weekend..
  4. Great Fleet!!! They ALL look like they could go right to work ASAP!!
  5. Yes on the A model.. I cannot remember which windshield to E model had.. That postimage is free...
  6. Big R;; I only have a desk top, no phone or laptop, But I got around the picture limit by using postimage.com to post pictures.. There have been some other topics discussing using outside picture sites.. Maybe someone smarter than I can help you, especially with a laptop or phone????
  7. The turbos on the day cab F models was back of the cab and they would be cherry red at night pulling Fancy Gap!!!
  8. As D-Day said check all your wire connections from the battery to the starter and the small wires that lead to the ignition switch and starter switch and back to the engagement solenoid on the starter.. With not even a click means a loose or broken wire somewhere???
  9. Carolina and Overnight both had a bunch of the F models..
  10. Sound more like a loose or broken wire between the starter switch and the starter solenoid????
  11. Jojo, If you are like me there are times my fingers move faster than my BRAIN!!!!
  12. Carlotpilot:: WELCOME BACK!!! Hope you and the Mrs are doing OK..
  13. Kenny Rex of Northampton PA (Allentown) Has green Diamond Reo conventional.. long wheelbase but NO sleeper that I remember?? It was at Macungie 2 years ago. Came in on Saturday Morning and was parked up by the pool across from the main trailer parking.
  14. I was told when I bought my Diamond T 921 cab over that it would not go into reverse.. Replaced the universal joint in the shift linkage and it worked perfect..
  15. DO NOT put it in neutral.. Leave it in gear so when you come out of the corner you can get the gear you need to speed back up.
  16. Paul, Thank you for the ad.. Various outfits must have imported Brockways even earlier than your ad as Archie Baines down in Victoria has a, just postwar, Model 88 (the smallest Brockway) front clip, cowl and chassis in his boneyard when we were down in 2015..
  17. Tommy and Zina:: Thanks for the pictures.. That Brockway Pick up on the drop deck with the military 4X4 chassis is one I have NOT seen before.. The Dalrymple on the door was a large sand, stone, and concrete company from Elmira NY which is the 50's and 60' had a large fleet of all Brockways.
  18. Actually Brockway had a prototype for a 1978 new model on the floor when Mack closed them out in the spring of 1977 and Mack kept the design and made it the Superliner. The old Brockway website had a big topic on it with many pictures from the engineering / design room.
  19. Paul, I think (???) you sort of have it figured out.. And yes it operates different than most of US roll backs (tilt trays).. The unit Mowerman posted the picture of is a Landall trailer version of a tilt tray only the tandems slide forward to lower it to the ground..
  20. Thanks, Part of it comes from going to National Shows for the last 20 years.. You meet someone and then he introduces you to someone else, ETC ETC.. My big trouble is at a show I can put a face with a truck and NOT know the name in the middle!!!
  21. Also check the sides of the frames, both sides, above the steering axle between the spring hangers.. I do not think there was an approved place on the frame and who ever had the job of stamping serial numbers sorta put it where he wanted..
  22. Contact Ken Kafka he is in the Denver area somewhere.. ATHS Intermountain West chapter contact. 970-834-7925 nash2ton@thinair.net He has Nash Quads, WW 1 FWD's and Colemans. Also Tiny Miller is in the area with a 52 or 53 Ford F-800 with the 317 Y-block Lincoln engine., and God only knows what else.
  23. You must still have to start lowering the back of the deck before it gets out as far as you pictured?? other wise the front of the Mack will be airborne!!!
  24. Dean, Does that LJ say Commercial Truck Sales with a Diamond T in the center??? The 1959 Diamond T 921 that I sold to David Fay came from a Commercial Truck Sales in Winston Salem..
