I wonder what Volvo trucks manufactured elsewhere on the globe use. 12 or 24V? Is it just a North America problem?

I've been told it's 24v at least in Europe, no idea on the rest of the world. I've heard Europeans singing high praises to the European Volvos elsewhere on the internet, so I'd imagine that they're pretty good.

In my 40 or so years around trucks I have never seen 12 volt heavy trucks except for American made ones.24 volt has been the standard here in Europe for as long as anyone can remember.Even at the shows Iv brought the Cruiseliner to most guys are suprised its 12 volt...

How do you guys handle trailer interchanging with 24 volt and 12 volt tractors?

edit: I assume today, 12/24 LED's make it a non issue, but back in the day of your Cruiseliner?

IHC I know could be ordered 24 volt from the get-go.
