Well, off to transfer 4"-6" of snow from the driveway to the lawn and woods with "Miss Junkie 1". AccuWeather says another 1"-3" Monday.    .....Hippy

latest for CT calling for 12-18 inches snow Sunday into Monday with 35 mph winds!! might classify as a blizzard. I could deal with the blizzard of '78 ;; younger (not as wise) . push snow with a TD20  dozer for days. going on 75 without the TD20 only a snow shovel === sucks.

Same here in central jersey, current forecast is 17-18 inches between 7 am Sunday to 7 pm monday.

Well it's meant to rain here, well at the moment actually 

Any  still is meant to be raining

Pretty crappy amd muggy at the moment 

 

We have just clay soil here and if there's any more than a 1/4 of a inch of rain we can't move 

So loaded the Mack for another run 

Still a good old bucket of bolts

Just got a message about another load today, Princess will not be happy ha ha ha

don't get to lost in the snow there

REPORT FROM ICE STATION ZEBRA:

02/22/2026 04:15Z

The impending Nor'Easter is almost upon Ice Station Zebra and the immediate area. Blizzard conditions are expected to begin between 07:00Z and 10:00Z. Meteorologists are forecasting 18-24" of snow with winds up to 40mph. All provisions have been stocked, with extra snacks purchased for the morale of the personnel. Provisions will be monitored and rationed if necessary. The Camp cook has not decided on breakfast but dinner tomorrow will be beef chili.

The primary Ram 1500 camp tractor is down with an automatic transmission casualty, therefore the backup Dodge Dakota camp tractor has been pressed into service. It has been fully fueled, all fluids have been checked and topped off as necessary. The Camp Nurse will be delivered to her jobsite tomorrow at 12:00Z and picked up at 00:01Z. The Camp Patient Care Assistant will be delivered to his jobsite tomorrow at 20:00Z and picked up at 04:00Z which should be at the beginning of the height of the blizzard when 2" per hour are expected.

All Camp buildings have been windproofed and stocks of heating fuel oil and lamp gas have been checked and replenished as necessary. The Generator has been tested and the Marconi transmitter has sent a successful test received by Glasgow, Oslo and Murmansk.

Ice Station Zebra will provide additional situation reports as necessary. Pray for us. Pray for the world.

Periods of moderate snow and low visibility will be the biggest hazards. The potential exists for snowbands that will bring periods of locally heavy snowfall, which will lead to rapid snow accumulations and extremely dangerous travel conditions. Significant snowfall and periods of heavy snowfall rates will combine with low visibility to create very dangerous driving conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and break some tree limbs. The power outage threat is limited.

1:20pm in CT it's starting !! real fine snow/ sleet. everyone seems concerned about having gas/ food!!! I've got 5 bottles of Yukon Jack/ tofu/ and plenty of scale models to build.!! I didn't put the snow there; why should I have to remove it LOL

yes ;LOL ; doing  alot of tofu ; salad . my previous Landlady (Chinese ) has introduced me to quite a few "better" for you foods. getting on with age / winter/ lack of ambition; the pounds add fast. actually bought some pastry last week ;first in months. the weather does it to a person. == saved and back on topic. don't let first trip with tofu be a judgement call. there are a number of types. it also mixes with many other foods. I buy 5+ loaves a bread a week ; yet eat none of it ;;; I feed the ducks in river next to house. depends ON THE WEATHER !
