REPORT FROM ICE STATION ZEBRA:

The impending Nor'Easter is almost upon Ice Station Zebra and the immediate area. Blizzard conditions are expected to begin between 07:00Z and 10:00Z. Meteorologists are forecasting 18-24" of snow with winds up to 40mph. All provisions have been stocked, with extra snacks purchased for the morale of the personnel. Provisions will be monitored and rationed if necessary. The Camp cook has not decided on breakfast but dinner tomorrow will be beef chili.
The primary Ram 1500 camp tractor is down with an automatic transmission casualty, therefore the backup Dodge Dakota camp tractor has been pressed into service. It has been fully fueled, all fluids have been checked and topped off as necessary. The Camp Nurse will be delivered to her jobsite tomorrow at 12:00Z and picked up at 00:01Z. The Camp Patient Care Assistant will be delivered to his jobsite tomorrow at 20:00Z and picked up at 04:00Z which should be at the beginning of the height of the blizzard when 2" per hour are expected.
All Camp buildings have been windproofed and stocks of heating fuel oil and lamp gas have been checked and replenished as necessary. The Generator has been tested and the Marconi transmitter has sent a successful test received by Glasgow, Oslo and Murmansk.
Ice Station Zebra will provide additional situation reports as necessary. Pray for us. Pray for the world.
