One of the great things about the State of the Union is how it gives Americans the chance to see clearly what their representatives really believe.
So tonight I'm inviting every legislature to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle.
If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support.
The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.
(Response - No democrats stand up. )
Isn't that a shame. You should be ashamed of yourself -- not standing up.

UPDATE 11:23 p.m. ET:

Spanberger has finally stopped screaming into the camera.

UPDATE 11:19 p.m. ET:

Spanberger is now openly encouraging radical leftists and illegal aliens to resist immigration enforcement, cheering on protesters in Minneapolis. She’s literally openly proving Trump’s point, that these people do not care about Americans and are crazy but only care about illegal aliens.

UPDATE 11:17 p.m. ET:

Spanberger is attacking Trump personally, calling him corrupt.

“Is the president working for you?” Spanberger asks. “We all know the answer is no.”

Spanberger is openly torpedoing her political future right now with this screed.

UPDATE 11:14 p.m. ET:

Radical crazy psychopathic Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger is giving the Democrat response now, sounding like a shrill screaming wild woman not the “moderate” that establishment media lied to the public claiming she is. She’s falsely claiming Trump is raising taxes–while she actually did raise taxes–and now she is claiming Trump is empowering the Russians. Spanberger is coming off like a radical crazy person.

I saw him say those words, and hes right, and it makes sense.  We are much more civilized here then what our lefties think.  We need to be vaccinated from this type of corruption.

"Countries that were ripping us off for decades are now paying us hundreds of billions of dollars."

"And as time goes by I believe the tariffs paid by for by foreign countries will, like in the past, replace the modern day system of income tax...."

State of the Union Delusion. Every American schoolchild knows the Constitution gives Congress the authority to levy tariffs and taxes. And The President carries out the execution of the law. Trump is the first President who believes the Constitution gives the President the power to levy taxes while simultaneously thinking other countries are paying said taxes.

Also, Can someone explain how a country, specifically the USA, which has 4.25% of the world's population, consumes 28-30% of the world's natural resources annually, produces nothing meaningful other than tech and weapons, is usually ranked in the top 15 out of 193 for highest standard of living, and just about every one of its citizens are in the top 10% of the wealthiest people on the planet is getting ripped off by other countries?

No delusion at all my friend. The majority of countries were ripping us off. We pay 37% tariffs to export US-made water heaters (which means we realistically can’t). But that country was allowed to import their water heaters into the US at 2.5%.
President Trump is the first person inside the beltway to call out this massive issue.

Just 14 short years ago. This is not an endorsement of this President or his policies. But rather a look back at the behavior and decorum of the entirety of the Congress. The USA is ripping itself apart from within.

I know you said you're not endorsing the Obama administration,  and im glad to hear that. That said, the Obama era was some of the worst years I've ever seen in my lifetime thus far in the area of the economy.  I watched ALOT of people fold up in the trucking and construction sector.

That administration is directly responsible for the trajectory for what we see in congress today as far as conduct unbecoming. During his administration's tenure,  the push for DEI and wokeness as a mainstay in our government and society in general,  its like like they opened Pandora's box. Once they let the crazy out and normalized it, you cant put it back in the box.

Thank the Obama era for the way our current congress carries itself nowadays.

Probably so but the reasons for those terrible economic years were not his doing. The GFC & Great Recession had its seed sown from Clinton era legislation and came to a head in 2007/08. The bad economic years of Obama's first term was the result of a decade or more of disastrous banking practices.

That's certainly a possibility. I think there are other more significant contributing factors that compound on one another.
