Thanks for the compliments.Working on putting the radiator back together and in the truck.My goal is to get the cab back on and radiator mounted,then I will work on getting it back up and running.Will keep the pic coming.

It’s slow going when your doing it by yourself,but I just pick the task I want to get done and that that.Today wanted to get the glass all back in the door panels.Have to get the hardware  to secure the door handles so these panels won’t be in today,tomorrow job.

I always pick the worst job first, that way everything is getting better from there 

Doors are looking good 

I  can spend a lot of time with almost zero result on windows and window winding mechanisms

What’s a good price to get the door handles rechrome.Mine have some pitting and I can’t find good ones.

It is hard to find a chrome shop anymore especially one that would deal with pitted metal good luck let us know what you find I am thinking about powder coating some of that kind of stuff

I would guess wild around 60-80 bucks a piece as D day mentioned shops are  vanishing food luck last one I used chromed my bulldog around 30 years ago I think I paid 40 bucks bob

No luck with Watts.I found a place here in Philadelphia that’s a one man show.$350 for both,throught it was high but then he explained the process and I figured it will take around 2-3 hours to do.So by the time he time he turns on the lights,pays his insurance,buys supplies it not a bad price.This is coming from a retired contractor who know costs.

That sounds like "the going price" with the advantage of being local. I remember using a shop in Philadelphia by the name of Martins years ago. It was a father and son then they split if I remember right. The last I heard the son was still in business.

You want to cringe at that price....but it is realistic in today's world.

I'd love to get my dash and glove box plated but would hate to ask.  I thought of having SS panels cut to fit over.  Cheaper and easier, I think?

i would not pay that,,,,why dont you just buy R model handles,,,it looks like they would fit right on

Oh, OK since we were discussing window regulator inserts I assume they were indoor gotcha I was gonna say I have a brand new one in a box. I would sell you that I don’t need but never mind.

Harry’s,that is the shop I’m using.It’s the son who has it now,father passed back in 08.

Small world. The work he did for me has held up well and still looks great.
