I mounted the 3/4" LED under the lip of the bunk, so they are invisible during the day, but light up and shine down on the road at night. I did similar under cab, I made small brackets and riveted them to the inside of the rocker so only the edge of the light hangs down and it glows on the tanks. I then put them up each side of the bunk in the back. I got the SS covers for them to kinda cover up the black rubber grommet. I got the clear lens also so not as noticeable during the day. You can get those 3/4" LED's cheap from Amazon. They keep offering bigger quantities for cheap. If I can't make the truck shiny, I might as well light it up at night?? Ezrider Posted January 9, 2019 Author Share Posted January 9, 2019 looks great guys, in the past i had thought of mounting some under the cab where the lights themselves would not be visible but would shine down on my tanks i thought that would be pretty cool. i might still do that as i only have the lights under the sleeper and nothing under the front doors. i think the ones i bought off e-bay were something around $23 for 20 lights if memory serves so they certainly were not expensive i was a bit nervous about the way i did it as if i didn't like it there wasn't really any turning back. well not without a lot of work anyway....lol but im very happy with how it came out. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Google say chicken thieves were stealing chickens off trucks while they drove slowly through dark, unlit streets of cities. BillyT Posted January 12, 2019 Share Posted January 12, 2019 David, Hunts Point was the reason I never hauled produce!LOL I used to haul insulation into the S.Bronx all the time, but with a flatbed you are unloaded in a half hour,and can split! It's the waiting that gets ya! Freightrain the chicken lights look great!Bob's been asking about you but I've been off the site for awhile!
